Adventure log- carbonemys aka big turtle is a species of turtle that can survive both in water and land! They are located usually at rivers, lakes, beaches, waterfalls, and oceans. On the Island, (Map) Even after venturing out a fine distance from land, you can still see them at the water; or in a more accurate term, they are located at the sunlight zone of the ocean (there are layers in the ocean that differ by the amount of sunlight they get) they like to eat alge and berries and also have a strong immune system! You can hop on there shell and they will not care! What a amazing turtle!
More Carbonemys Encountering Tips
If you accidentally punch one of these I recommend running to the nearest rock and slowly walking away behind it. The carbonemys will loose interest and walk away. This is because it won’t see you, But if it doesn’t work run away but what ever you do… DON’T SWIM AWAY!!! Carbonemys are giant turtles and turtles swim. They have really high health stats (if your a noob) and swim fast. Unless you have a fast swim mount or fly mount you can swim or fly over the water to escape.

Secret : you can hop on there back even if they’re not tamed! Just jump on their back you get a free ride they don’t care!
This is an awful animal to underestimate. When I first played the game, I thought I could kill one for easy meat and resources. The douche took 6 spears to the face, broke my leg, and speed-walked after me as I limped away. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE.
You can easily beat one without ranged weps just using a good melee weapon and a shield. Hit it three times, immediately block with the shield, hit three times, block, repeat. Will not work on multiple carbs, but for any newcome bold enough to try it on a high lvl one goodluck
Their weak spot is their legs, noobs, hit the legs with ur bow/crossbow.
Oh yea if u want to KO one, slingshot them
The best way to kill one is to shoot them. Ranged weapons because they are very slow
Do NOT fight these if you only have beginner weapons! They actually can kill you if you don’t know what you’re doing (learned from experience)
Some people think this guy is powerful but they just annoy me and my friends like dodos,
So we kill them and feed them to our dinos the end.

These guys are big turtles.When you hit it there go nuts on you.When I was a......noon I thought they run when you hit them so I hit one.I was like"I'm goanna wreck" your face and he was like"oh no you don't ".And it killed me.
When you receive a pursuit that needs one of these guys to accomplish, it'll say that they can be found commonly in the swamp and same with the dossier. Wrong, they can commonly be found on beaches or near bodies of water inland, why mislead people into searching for a creature in a place where they do not spawn? Why waste their time, I don't know.
