ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
If you are playing ark by yourself and you want to tame a Bloodstallker, bring beds trust me. You will die a lot if you’re looking for a high level or lower level and bring bug repellent because, they will attack you. Then after you tame it, you can name it the evil nurse.
68 76 plenty spawn in the trees above.
Sacrifice dinos to it just like a dino to reduce the taming time. Goes up about 5% per low level dino. Will reduce taming time by 3x
When I saw this I thought it was a plant so I hit it with a pick, I learned the hard way it is really a not-so-plant bloodsucking machine.
Took exactly 110 bloodpacks for a 145 bloodstalker on small tribes Xbox
Let them grab you , get free and throw him little high lvl dinos before , after 4 dinos let them grab you agaim and enjoy higher effectivity
Do not feed it cooked meat it will die if its a baby
If you want to tame these and have a tribe mate with you and a tek phase pistol you can have 1 person get grabbed by the stalker then the other person shoot you with the phase pistol on heal mode and it will tame as long as you don’t die which you shouldn’t if your tribe mate is shooting you with pistol on heal mode. No blood packs required
Some tips about the Bloodstalker:
1-If you are riding your tamed bloodstalker but it is low on health, it will start sucking your blood until you die. I think putting blood packs/raw meat in its inventory will solve the problem.
2-They can float on water, if you want it to submerge fully underwater, press the X key (if you have not changed the key settings) on your keyboard but i am not sure about the other devices. They can also swim very fast.
3-They can pull certain creatures that are small with their strings, they can also climb, and they can be a great tame once you know how to travel with them.
4-If you need to feed baby bloodstalkers, you can use raw meat or blood packs but not cooked meat because they wont eat it and eventually starve, put the food in its inventory, and not the trough because if you put food in the trough and go out of render distance, they wont be able to eat and will also starve to death.
Thanks for reading this, i hope it helped!

For your own sake, tame a desmodus first for quick and easy blood packs and save yourself some trouble.
They are on genesis 2! Coords: 71/05
Get a desmodus farm blood bags and tame a spider
I find alot of stalkers on gen 2 at the bottom left part of the map
Few things I’ve learned about the bloodstalker. So a good thing to know about bloodstalkers is that blood packs heal it 750 health!! A good amount that will definitely be useful during PvP, you can’t force feed the blood packs but they eat them pretty fast after losing health. If your blood stalker starts draining your health find an animal you can grapple ASAP, it will stop draining your health and heal from the Dino you’ve grappled and get even more health. When in the air on the bloodstalker for Xbox if you hold RB you can float on the bloodstalker, be ready to go into first person riding mode when you let go of the button. Good luck survivors, hopefully this helps one of you out :)
I play on a 10x server, so i thought it would be pretty easy to tame these creatures... i waent looking for them with 250 bloodpacks. (wich is a lot more than Dododex suggests.) I have found a lvl 130 Bloodstalker and it grabbed me... the first 20 seconds i thought i would be ok... but when a minute lasted, i saw it was only at 20%, and it consumed around 75 bloodpacks. I knew i wouldn't make it... so i jumped off. And now my dino is dead... maybe, just maybe, if you take a look at the x10, you might also see the consume rates... maybe the speed has been multiplied.. when i did that on dododex, i suddenly needed around 700 bloodpacks.... makes sense to me.. give it a "^" so people can see this... Good luck out there, survivor
So i tamed a lvl 145 using 200-198ish bloodpacks on 3x taming. Just figured you guys should know
If it catches you punch it and it will let you go I learned from experience it killed me before I knew that trick :(
