Ignore the sharks when you are cruising along on a basi - they will lose aggro and turn away.

Alpha sharks? Don’t stop. Just keep cruising and biting back. You will eventually kill the alpha and lose less of your basi’s health.

If you want a ton of oil but you don’t know how to get any just get on your itchy and start killing one of these they give you like 250 oil every time you kill one up if this was helpful

My tribe has one of these beasts with 60k health, Another tribe came and with a turret raft and our 60k health basilo was the only thing that survived. We play on a normal difficulty server.

Tamed basilos can only produce 20 purple oil at a time but killing a basilo will give you about 200 regular black oil so it’s more worth killing them than taming them to get oil

Basilo is good for weight, and speed in the ocean.

Just killed a low level alpha mosa in a head on 1v1 on my lvl 250 Basilo and only lost 5k health out of my 20K using a primitive saddle. If you have a good saddle for it and pump enough points into its health and melee you can definitely overpower every wild creature in the ocean with a basilo, including high lvl alpha mosa.

there's a crush depth on the basilosaurus and it will start dying there's no way to go further down with a basilo and don't try to even use infinite stats it will instantly die when it goes in it's crush depth

They generate oil passively, are immune to Cnidaria stun affects, protect you from the elements, a level 30 or so can kill a alpha meg.

Those guys are tanky af. I breed my lvl 100 wild Tame with another imprinted it and put 15 levels in HP and it had 40k HP. And I didn't even mutate it and it also didn't have that great stats. They do really good damage though its The amount of HP they really shine at.

Pretty good Starter water creature, yeah u can't ride it until high level but u can still have it as a tanker with good stats and it can make oil, u can have various of these to never need to make oil runs ever again

BEST WATER MOUNT, hands down. I tamed a level 10 to start and with some points on HP and melee damage it reached 10k and I even killed an Alpha Megalodon and lots of plesiosaurus. You can also farm bio toxin and it produces free oil.

Upgrade it’s health and then you can bite ammonites for fun

These creatures are amazingly useful even UNtamed. If you kill them, they give you at least 300 oil, each. When tamed, they regen ridiculously quickly at the surface, and are rather good for getting anything aquatic. Nothing beats a Basilo for underwater fights either. Also, you can name them Pickle Rick and Pickle Rick is the best, so, win win.

I play Single player and tamed this creature lvl 120 as my first fully aquatic creature. I fully upgraded saddle at upgrade station and this thing is apsolutne monster. Not any of other sea creatures is even close to killing it. Kills mosas without any problem, receives very little damage with saddle armour. Personally I think of it as best sea mount because of it's immunity to stuns and grabs.

A very amazing creature for the water if you have a high level one stated with health and melee it can kill almost everything the only thing I would watch out for is high level alpha mosa otherwise they can be electrocuted by anything, electroflorus, and jellyfish no more, also tuso's can't grab them.

This thing is beast I took a army of wild megalodon out mins was a level 14 with a little over 5000 health barely took anydamage

Tamed a super low level (54) but i killed a level 145 mosa and only got down to 2756hp (max is 5760.2) and right after literally gkt to the surface and killed a level 70 dunkle on my way back tk my base i farmed jellyfish and ended up with 262 bio toxin and 294 oil from killing another basilo
