Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a basilosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a basilosaurus.
One hit and it gets knocked
Out
I dont know if my game was buggy or not but, the tame was at 99% and I feed it. Instead of being tamed it dropped to 96% and so on, untell it was at 0%. The main part of this is to just be ready at any moment to lose your tame i guess, I know gow bad it feels now.
Be careful because mantas love to swarm him and they are a passive tame give them prime fish meat or normal fish meat
Don't even use the kibble, lamb chops are much better for it
To tame the basilosaurus it's a passive tame so kill every thing around it and start feeding it
Makes a crazy amount of oil. You'll never have to go mine oil again.
Make a boat with a taming compartment underneath. Wait for it to go near the surface. Glitch it in. Kill off the high level manta that are on its body. (Bring a crossbow or 2, there are a lot of high lvl mantas) when you feed it it emits a toxin that Aggros things on you. After eating the dirt at piece of food they take a long time to eat the second but once they do it’s like 8 second intervals. They make oil and regen stam and health fast. Can attack eels and jellyfish without being shocked, and can attack squids without getting grabbed. They take damage if you go down too deep.
I was using my dolphin to find some loot drop and I found this thing swimming so I tame it and it didn’t attack me
If you tame this stupid guy, the mantas would destroy you (because that happened to me 5 minutes ago I was wearing ascendant swim armor and I got killed in 3 seconds)
The easiest, but most time consuming, way to get a basilo is to tame all the mantas first before you tame the basilo. First, you go to the deeper parts where the anglerfish spawn, and you kill them and harvest their angler gel w/ your megalodon or other powerful sea mount. Once you got an acceptable amount of gel, you go up to the basilo and mantas, make sure you have the gel on the last slot, and spam-click Y/E to tame all the mantas. Once you took care of the mantas, switch the gel w/ prime meat to tame the basilo. Enjoy your basilo and your small manta army.
My Favourite and Easiest way to get a Basilosauros:
Get icthy. Pump health and speed. Get prime meat or kibble or whatever you have (preferably kibble, prime meat or mutton) and put it in last slot. Feed to Basilosauros, hop onto icthy really quick, then bait all the mantas as far away from the Basilosauros as possible. Most will not go back for Basilosauros. Rinse and repeat with new mantas he picks up along the way, boom easy Basilosauros.
you can feed teming or knock taming
Us the Baryonyx to kill the Manta then feed it Fish.
Anyone else think that story is dumb as all heck?!?!?
When taming be aware that the mantas around it will be passive until you start feeding it. It sprays a red mist like the pachyrhino that Argos everything nearby to attack you.
Takes longer than 5 mins.i tamed a 145.i killed a sheep and I had salt in my pocket.the mutton spoil timer was 20 mins.the mutton spoiled before it was just about halfway tamed.luckily I had 40 cooked mutton to finish it.when tamed it stood up with 15k health 270ish melee.health goes up just under 1k each bump.so this thing is going to have a ton of health.i should easily be able to get 30k plus health
Go up to it don't mind the mantas
Next give raw meat it's a faster way
Then you have your own basilosaurus
OMG BE CAREFUL! THESE THINGS HAVE MANTA BODYGUARDS AND THEY'RE SUPER ANNOYING. Tip on finding these guys? Ya know the rocky island in the southern islets? I found one there once.
The things you gonna need for this tame-
