I was in crystal isles, and I found three of these guys, this is how I tanned them:

1. I had a Barry, and killed all the mantas with the spin attack

2. I used the meat from the mantas to feed the Basilo (these guys get hungry quick, so it won’t take too long)

3. Enjoy your knew Basilo! Hope this was helpful.

Tips from an expert:These can be found in the pond that Herbivore Island has. Simply kill all of the predators in the area (mantas,megs,etc)

and all annoyances. Taming one of these is quite similar to taming an ichthyosaurus;however it is much more tedious. Be patient if you want a basilo.

The best place to tame is gen 1 ocean biome they are EVERYWHERE!!!

Ride an itchy if u want to tame it. Manta or megalodon won't hurt the icthy cause they so cute.

Be warned after you kill all the Mantas that are surrounding the basilo. There is a high chance that another manta will come wandering, and will attack you. I know this because I killed all the Mantas was taming the basilo and my megalodon all of a sudden after I got hit from something attacked and killed the baslio. Angry and sadness.

The info says it only takes one kibble but it actually takes 3 kibbles to tame 👆they can fix this

Guys it's a passive tame you can feed it ridding a dolphin I forgot that name of dino oops 🥲

But most importantly when i reached 80 percent it started to decrease 😭😭😭😭😭😭

If you’re having trouble with swarms of mantas whilst trying to tame this epic beast, I recommend checking the cove at herbi island. They sometimes spawn there and there’s much less creatures to deal with

So I was doing hunt basilo Pursuit when I found it I abandon the pursuit then I killed the Megalodon took its meat swim up to the basilo (do not hit the basilo) and fed it the meat (I recommend using soothing blam first)

On The Island map, if you wait until one comes up to hang out in that little shallow area in herbivore island, it will be much easier to tame as long as you have a dolphin or manta. You won’t have to wait long because they commonly like to hang out in that shallow area.

Ride a good level sarco make sure you have your food of choice I recommend exceptional kibble or raw prime meat surprisingly they don't prefer fish also it's a passive tame they will always be surrounded by mantas which will agro if you brush past them or the basilo hurt the basilo or mantas and start taming so taming first brush past the basilo to separate mantas from the basilo kill the mantas once you done that approach the basilo and feed it then wait till it's hungry I think it's food has to go down 200 before next feed rinse and repeat and have ridding your new basilo tamed facts the basilo cannot be stunned by jelly fish or eels also it keeps the rider warm underwater cons the basilo has a crush depth that drains it's health slowly the depth is barrier entering the mosa plesy area they pretty much everywhere

On mobile, the first food you give it takes longer. I have no idea why.

Get some Lazarus chowder (helps with oxygen), then stay for some time to get it nice and tamed (if low level). High-levels have SCUBA tanks to help.

He feeds quite quickly, if you find it's taking longer than usual. Move away for a minute as he may be spooked.

Watch out because these things have a lot of sting rays following them everywhere and sometimes megalodons

Sooo when i tamed my first basilasaurus on valguero i feed it raw fish meat cause i forgot regular meat but before i tamed it i drowned..... but i came back with my icthy (my second strongest water dino hense the fact i was tring to tame a basilasaurus), got my stuff, but when i went looking for the basilasaurus it was gone. But luckily i found another one, tamed it, brought it home and jever tamed another basilasaurus...... but i did tame 2 x-basilasaurus breed them and lived happily ever after! Super worth taming them though!!!

For these guys try to get a megaladon or Baryonx and kill all the mantas and if you have kibble easy tame but if you Don’t try to protect it
