I tamed two and i will tell you a story how

So i was riding my ichthyosaurus i saw a basilosaurus i swam up to it it said feed raw meat to tame so i took the meat out of my ichthyosaurus and i fed it while riding the ichthyosaurus and tamed the male basilosaurus then i saw another went to see its gender it was a female so i tamed it the same way

ALWAYS BRING ICHTHYOSAURUS’S!

When you get to like 50% tamed on this dude it the bar starts going down when you use raw fish meat I couldn’t tame this guy so... i killed it😔

To tame ride on a ichy and feed it prime meat and normal meat (don’t feed it fish meat). They can be found in the shallows of herbivore island

Don’t tame at a level lower than 45, It will take forever to get the saddle!!! (Required Level 60)

I found one stuck in the shallow water, WITH A MEGALODON. Went right up to it and absolutely nothing happened. Definitely pretty passive creatures though.

Or if u have a ichythosauraus, just ride it while having food in hand

Confirmed at least to me that going away from it between feedings appears to make it go quicker.

Tame it on a icthy so sea flap flaps don't kill you

There will be tons of aggressive mantas around the Basilosaurus. Bring a Baryonyx to tail whip the Mantas, then kill them and you should have no problems trying to tame the Basilosaurus. Or use Bug Repellant.

I have a basilosaurus and from the first day of taming it it was able to kill megalodons within 3 hits.

(Be in mind that I play ARK Mobile so it may not be exact on Xbox,PS4, etc.)

Tamed one during a 2x event and it took 24 mins not 12 with kibble, it was level 145 female

Feeder timer for kibble was about 70 seconds not 51 like mentioned at the time of this posting

Use a baryonyx to carefully agro the mantas and then your good, I used cooked prime meat to tame mine and once you feed them swim out of tender distance and you’ll be able to feed them again literally like 10 seconds, if you hang around it’ll take longer to eat because it’s scared.

kill everything around it before feeding

A good place to find these is on the west side of the island like mosas. When I found mine I dived to the floor and found a mosa.

The basilosaurus is amazing. Kills anything 1-2 hits and regens really quickly. Just take a sword and feed it prime fish meat. It produces 5 "oil" every 6-7 minutes

Excellent for getting bio toxin from cnidria's (jellyfish) . I use them whenever i want to restock on shocking tranq darts which can be unlocked at lvl 96 .

Boost its health to 30000 and take command of the deep sea.

Ignore the feeding intervals, took me 30 minutes to tame a lvl 80 with mutton... worth it tho 😂

Kill Everything around it. Your best bet is a Baryonyx. Ichthys will be as good as dead, Megalodons might get shred by Mantas as well. To get the aggro of Mantas, just attack one that is away from the Basilosaurus and the others will come to retaliate.

If you plan to use Raw Prime Meat or Raw Mutton, don't dare thinking that you can keep it all in your inventory before spoiling. Drop every piece of meat into your (well-feed) mount and pick one at a time, dismounting, feeding, mounting and repeating.

Bringing salts won't be harmful either, specialy when it comes to Raw Prime Meat. Raw Mutton will last more than enough without salts, but again, as long as it stays on a tamed creature.
