First of all, I usually find them near a body of land. I found one in south zone 2 or south zone 3. And please only tame them the same food, I was taming one with raw fish meat, but ran out of it so I fed with cooked meat, and lost all taming progress. It's filled with mantas outside but I was lucky to only have 1 manta surrounding it, and use itchy to avoid mantas since riding aquatic animal will make you avoid dangerous creatures, even meg's which I tested.

Oh and another thing, there is this creature on The Island where when you click, it gives you tons of prime fish meat, I used it when I was taming with fish meat but then lost some taming progress. So definitely find one of those things where it gives you raw prime fish every 10 mins, it gives you 40+ btw

just killed a low level alpha carno with one of these. my basil barely took a dent 💪

Use a spino and bug repellent and this tame is easy as hell if you have a bat you can find them easily at night as well then go back in the day

How I got the mantas off was I shot the bassalosourus with normal arrows, got on my megalodon and killed the mantas, nothing else ever tried protecting it after

To tame have a mount in the water that can kill the Manta surrounding this creature. Once you agro the Mantas quickly get to your mount and have it kill the mob. Then swim close and start the tame.

Dont go near dunkleosteoses with this thing cuz mine almost got killed

There is usually one at herbivore island in the pond area and it is not too cold or hot in that area either so in my opinion, herbivore island is the best place to go for a basilo.

Tame a sino and make a scream and all the mantas will leave

Be careful all water creatures near it will attack you! When you feed it!

If you don’t want to worry about mantas or megs, use a Baryonyx. Pull everything in the area and spam stun, then chomp on the stunned enemies until everything is dead. Then you can just follow the Basilosaurus around without having to worry about enemies

Just takes two max levels. Mating pair. I killed the mantas with my tek bow then went in for the tame. First time and I thought it was easy 🤷‍♀️

This big guy is so useful! Easily obtainable in The Island since you can immediately swim to herbivore island and feed it fish as soon as you get an icthy and a saddle. Looots of weight capacity, make oil just from eating, take no damage from cnidarias, (thats right, that blue jelly that killed your tame a few days ago? Easily reduced to biotoxin thanks the the help of the chonky Basilosaurus.) AND you cant be dismounted from it by wild creatures, too! I’ve made a team of them and icthys, basilos focusing on hp, and icthys focusing on melee attack. Together, they basically conquer the ark ocean.

Only downside is that it’s kinda slow, making it awkward if youre sprinting through the ocean with a fast creature like an icthy, and it easily gets stuck in rivers.

With my sarco I found this small whale.There were mantas around it

so I killed those mantas.wen I was done it told me to feed it fish.

So I fed it fish.It took a wile.then I tamed the bash.I brang it and

named it water.

What Iv tryed is cooked prime fish meat it takes about 30 minutes.

Do they Chase if they're hit or do they flee

It's passive. Mantas and icthys work together to kill it.
