For mobile users its a passive tame if you dont know he eat therizinosaur kibble and and it's very slow when it tamed by meat. also it make oil in their inventory but when it get to 20 remove it because it well be so slow. it's powerful and have good health for the sea but it's stamina is bad level up in stamina. thanks for reading

When tamed it passively generates a natural version of oil that slowly spoils, unlike normal oil. Also, it can only generate up to 20 oil until you take the oil out of its inventory, then it will continue to generate oil. I’m on console by the way, not sure about mobile.

The basilosaurus on genisis part 1 usually don’t have mantas following them , and if they do it’s usually 1 or 3. Making them much safer to tame on genisis 1

I saw my first Whale in the bay of Herbivore Island, I was like, hey, it’s a whale, i don’t have any proper sea tames (I had a sarco but that doesnt count) so I got raw prime and fed it that, I ran out of raw prime, Omygod omygod. I used normal raw and the taming bar DIDN’T GO DOWN! So basically I skipped the sharks and Ichthys and went strait for the Basilosaurus. IT IS AWESOME! I highly recommend a whale and they are very common around herbivore island (heck, there’s a new one in the bay now)

Always tame these guys riding a dolphin! They hang out with megs and mantas, and they will attack you if you’re not riding a dolphin!

It will start to lose tame bar for some reason and if that happens you may aswell give up :(

The taming interval is actually correct. For some reason ark is buggy so you have to exit render distance like with carcharos. I tested this myself.

Couldn't use the Sangine Elixir at any point during taming, not sure if its because of being underwater prevents you from using the elixir or just the creature.

They’re very useful water tames. Even though taming them is a slight pain (second feed takes forever, but after second feed it eats more often) they’re worth it. They are immune to the jellyfish, they cant get grabbed by tusos, and they provide insulation to the rider.

These thing are so good for oil while killing them gives more but taming them will passively make oil for you

First time I tryed it was killed by megs on the way home second time I had 5 itchys and we made it next to my home but then megs killed all my itchys and the baslio (should have brought my megs too but I did not)

These are laughingly easy on mobile with the power of Dolphin (itchyosaurus)

Dolphins are the chillest creatures in the ocean because literally nothing attacks it unprovoked, and mantas still will not care if u feed said Basil-O

They produce a type of oil that decays over time. It can be refined like normal oil still

You want to tame one of these. I got a 145 one and when it was tamed it leveled to 217, now it has 50k hp. Plus they gather oil like the dunkel

When it comes to taming this guy, I personally like to hop on a high level spino. The spino easily deals with anything surrounding the basil, and then go ahead and start feeding it. I use kibble, it's a pretty fast tame, but the time between the first and second feeding feels like forever.

Taming this is a must imo, had it been able to swim in the deep without taking damage, it woulda been OP!

This is a must have tame! Why? Well lemme tell you!

1:they are a really easy tame since there passive tamed so an easy noob tame

2:they are able to withstand a eel or jelly zap so you don’t get knocked of your mount(unlike the lucky noobs…RIP)

3:they are a passive oil generator so you get free oil from them,the max they can hold in there inventory is 20 but they produce quickly

4:they have enormous attack damage so you could easily kill a meg(I have a lvl 23-4 or some thing and it kills things in seconds)

5:they have short but good bursts of speed that can get you to the surface in a couple of secs

6:they have an ok saddle?(it’s unlocked at lvl 60 and requires smithy to make)but it lets you ride your helpful tame so…🤷🏻‍♀️

7:they are chonky so they are pretty cute and come in very colorful colors(lol)

8:they’re health can go very high(like I said before mine is lvl 23 or something and it’s health is over thirteen thousand health so it can take a lot of damage)

9:they are able to keep you from getting to cold or hot(pretty helpful when your in the Arctic region or deep see diving)

10:they need lots of fish meat to be able to get around(they big chungus(I named mine BC))
