I was travelling in the water when I saw a basilosaurus I only saw two in my solo server but it was usually surrounded by fish animals the first I saw was surrounded by itchys about four or five the next I saw it surrounded by mantas and one carbonemy hit it and every manta charged at the carbonemy I suggest if you want one go look for one that’s surrounded by something you can kill it’s very risky tho so I suggest taking a sarco or a fish T. rex (I forget what it’s called) to help you
A great beginner tame, once you have an icthyosaurus, you can swim up to it and passive tame it. I just tamed one, and less than 5 minutes after I tamed a level 4, it’s killed 2 megalodons and 4 mantas. Like so noobs and beach bobs can see.
Good fighter, immune to jellies, supernatural healing boost at the surface, produces oil in its inventory, impervious to squid grabs, looks kinda cute too, only one bad thing about it: it gets squashed in the deep! Only slowly but the damage is there!
From my testing, it seems like one of these generates 20 oil in ~25 minutes, so that’s a rate of 4/5 per minute. You can refine 6 oil into 5 cans of gasoline, so 4/5 oil per minute would equate to 2/3 gasoline per minute. A fabricator burns fuel at a rate of 1 can of gasoline per 15 minutes (1/15 per minute). So basically, with a single basilosaurus of any level, it will produce enough oil to keep 10 fabricators constantly running simultaneously if you constantly collect and refine the oil it produces. Electrical generators burn gas 4 times slower than fabricators do, so a basilosaurus can produce enough oil to simultaneously and constantly power 40 generators. I wish I knew about this before travelling to the iceberg from my base in the south to gather oil : (
