Punch mantas 1 by one and lead them to shore them kill them with a sword on edge tried it out and worked successfully mutton tamed a basilo 130 :))

Having at least a water critter would be your best bet when taming this. A sarco is a great suggestion, as it kills manta and can swim very fast.

The basils are the true royalty of the sea, a 150 kibble tame can kill almost anything unmatched. Get a group of 2 or 3 and the ocean is yours, breed them and they are absolutely disgusting, having high health and attack is best when bred the speed boost they get makes them killers

WARNING: A lot of aggressive things get distracted by these things. But if you kill all the dangerous things it's easy to tame even with just normal meat

With patience you can easily take on the underwater caves due to its high health pool and ability to be unaffected by eels and jellyfish. As long as you fight and then swim back to the cave entrance to regen you will encounter no problems.

If you want to tame one, but cant wait until you have scuba gear, i would recommend a diplocaulus and a megalodon/baryonix for the mantas. This makes taming much easier

This thing is so annoying take out all the mantas before taming because when I tamed I had all the mantas in the ocean on me

There is a glitch when taming, wait until 2x if you are going to use raw meat or else the taming bar with start rapidly going down at 80% ish and you will have to start again. (I only used raw meat and stayed by it the whole time)

Found one stuck in a shallow area of the southern shores, mantas ran away when I fed it and managed to keep it in one place as I tamed it good tame for early game players if lucky

Have a friend lure away the mantas away then go in with the kibble

Important: On Ark Ultimate mobile edition (new ark mobile) these guys die instantly on deep water. No signal for low health, no 'red' screen that something goes wrong, just dying. Lost 2 of my basilos on South-east corner of the Island, near herbivore island just suddenly. Doesn't matter if you ride them or not, they die. RIP

Never use raw fish meat to tame this sea sausage, I would rather use raw meat or raw prime meat or raw prime fish meat, if you use raw fish meat it will take 1 million years for it to get tamed

First of all, I usually find them near a body of land. I found one in south zone 2 or south zone 3. And please only tame them the same food, I was taming one with raw fish meat, but ran out of it so I fed with cooked meat, and lost all taming progress. It's filled with mantas outside but I was lucky to only have 1 manta surrounding it, and use itchy to avoid mantas since riding aquatic animal will make you avoid dangerous creatures, even meg's which I tested.

Oh and another thing, there is this creature on The Island where when you click, it gives you tons of prime fish meat, I used it when I was taming with fish meat but then lost some taming progress. So definitely find one of those things where it gives you raw prime fish every 10 mins, it gives you 40+ btw

just killed a low level alpha carno with one of these. my basil barely took a dent 💪

Use a spino and bug repellent and this tame is easy as hell if you have a bat you can find them easily at night as well then go back in the day

How I got the mantas off was I shot the bassalosourus with normal arrows, got on my megalodon and killed the mantas, nothing else ever tried protecting it after

To tame have a mount in the water that can kill the Manta surrounding this creature. Once you agro the Mantas quickly get to your mount and have it kill the mob. Then swim close and start the tame.
