You can make a simple small trap using 1 stone foundation and 4 stone dino gates. Place 3 gates down on 3 sides of the foundation and kite it in, then place the 4th gate down to lock it in. You do not need the doors, just the gate frame.

For the best results the basilisk MUST stay aggroed the entire process. Walk around the trap on foot or keep a small dino near by to keep aggro. You will lose eff if it de-aggros. Ravagers are great for this as they are semi tanky and highly resistant to their torpor bite.

The eggs MUST be tossed from the players inventory and if taming with a tribemate, the eggs must be tossed from the same players inventory. Dropping eggs from dinos or multiple players will confuse the basilisk and it will refuse to eat. Pick up all eggs and re-drop from the original player to fix.

You MUST stay in render range. Leaving render will burrow the basilisk. If it burrows in the foundation it will get stuck and be untamable.

Finally, the time between eating can be quite long. Between 2-5minutes. Dont worry if it takes too long to eat. If you feel its taking too long try picking up all eggs and try dropping them closer. It may be trying to eat an egg it cant reach. You CAN drop all eggs at once or one at a time but make sure it can reach every single egg otherwise it will get stuck and wont eat any eggs. It eats the eggs in order they were dropped. Try to kill off any dinos that may accidentally walk by and attack the basilisk. If taming in the red zone, have a cryopod ready as tamed basilisks take radiation damage.

You can not knock out a basilisk and they’re very hard to fine when they’re underground

Try to get it in a 12x6 then proceed to feed it rock drake eggs.

I get your mad for not being tamable on crystal isles but just transfer over to where you can.then transfer over to crystal isles.j used this and its easy but j recommended genisis.

Pretty much can’t tame these guys on Crystal Isles due to the Rockdrakes not spawning in.

I tamed a level 9? And a level 10? With a single magmasaur egg. Per basilisk

Make a 4×7 box build up wall 2 high on 3 side and do one 4 the nake ceiling and drop them in up bote if his helped

The tameing is the same but you can now tame them with magmasaur eggs

Imagine WC fixing their game so you dont have to make it roar 10 times, lure it through the egg 50 times, tank it on the egg for 2 minutes and then go home dissapointed because you dont want to lose your almost dead dino.

If you want a Tame a basalisk suggest builing a 4x7 pen with a ramps leading in with doulble frame to exit build a platform 4 walls high sit on ceilings and through down eggs, once tamed build ramps leading out of the pen from the inside, Basalisk can NOT burrow while over foundations

After taming these beauties will happily accept Sweet Veggie Cake to help heal any health lost due to injuries or applying points to health stat

Fly with tek suit and drop the eggs. You can’t get Poison cause the tek suit protect you. Just don’t get hit ^^

When taming take Sanquine Slider for faster take works wonders 7 eggs needed

You cannot tame basilisks on singleplayer crystal isles, because they do not eat crystal wyvern eggs. Cheats work tho if thats ur style.

Drop the eggs from a flyer or wall climber or cloaked/invis creature- their favourite food is these fertilised eggs but they think you are the taming food

(P.S they go for corpses and other dinos before the actual egg)

For taming, you MUST KEEP AGRO it’ll lose taming effectiveness if it loses or burrys back in the ground. You need to have Rock Drake eggs too, ANY LEVEL EGG DOESNT EFFECT TAMING EFFECTIVENESS. You can trap it but it’ll be a little longer if you do. Be warned that the basilisk spits out a poison gas, kinda like the poison wyvern does.

U can use a 3x3x3 trap, works every time

I found one of them since I only had acces to normal wyvern eggs, I tried it out, turns out it works, I used fire and poison wyvern eggs!

Quick heads up, 1. Use a 3x3 or larger trap with 2 high walls and a 4 high wall with a platform to drop the eggs down, 2. If the basilisk doesn't lose any food just leave render distance and come back and it should work, 3. Bring lots of stimulant or good armor because higher armor rating reduces torpor damage

Lvl 60 on normal tame rate was only 6 eggs but always bring extras just in case.
