Me and my best bary where able to complete the caverns of the lost faith without much trouble, so yeah, you can use them to pass through the sea caves (not only the surface caves), just be careful with tusos and cnidarias, also it has to be a good bary

Incredible for gathering fish meat, which is the only thing they will eat. They're really good in the water and on land. I'm starting my baryonyx squad for underwater caves

They are great cave runners, They can take on almost any thing in the water.

Best all around mount ever.If you pump damage this thing is a beast both on land and underwater with its stun attack

Stun move in water does not trigger aggro debuff from ammonite and thus it can be used to obtain bile to make tons of antidotes. Instead of using a Tuso for a few hours fighting off Mosas, Cnidaria, and Electrophorus, you can ignore it all and use a Bary for 15 minutes to collect enough bile for 200 antidotes! Helpful if in a large tribe.

These guys are easily the best cave mount. With a lot of melee and health they are almost unstoppable.

So sad this can’t stun megs and piranhas on mobile.

Based on my experience, this guys can face tank the athro's spit attack(when angled properly), meaning they wont be able to hit and destroy your armor when you on the back of this beast

Jack of all trades. Fast on land and in water. Better manuverabilty than larger mounts. Surprisingly powerful. A well bred barry can hold its own against anything on land or in the water.

They are REALLY good for doing caves and they can get a TON of fish meat really easy.

Note that only fish meat can give them a health boost. Tried feeding mine normal meat but she wouldn’t gain health from it.

These guys can’t swim straight up or down, they go up at in incline, so watch your oxygen stat when riding into deep ocean, it will take longer to surface. Whirlpool attack is good tho, and also makes a great name

Must have for PvP. I play single player, and was out hunting on my new spino. I attacked one and it spun me off my spino. Therefore, lure poeple to water and knock them off any mount. Haven't tested with my Rex or brontos yet, and won't.

Get the baryonyx at a high level and farm meat

AWESOME mount, can take down carnos, raptors, therizinos, megalodons,

Sarcos,titanoboas and any underwater creatures, has no oxygen,gets

LOADS of fish meat and prime fish meat,best swamp mount and finally

Improve its health to about 3k and it can take down almost anything!

When taming its pretty easy because it gets affected by bolas.

A great first tame!

My friend and I were in the cave in dead island, I rode a baryonyx, he had a dire bear. We cooked the cave with our tames level 50-70. My favorite Dino because of its versatility. It traverses that cave very easy, anger in and out with no problem especially with its jump. By far my go to because of how good it is in land water and caves.

I've found that killing fish, not necessarily eating them, is what heals them the most.

While it may look less threatening than a Carno, Baryonyx is still a very viable choice of mount, especially considering the fact that it’s more maneuverable than a Carno, especially in water, where it can stun anything its size with a tailspin. In addition, due to being a swamp native, leeches will ignore it. Much better mount overall in my opinion, with the only downsides being it’s frail at low levels and fairly rare.

Must have for early level sea creature taming. It’s aoe spin destroys rays and the shocking stingers, even when stunned, and can 1v1 a megladon easy. Makes clearing them for that one your after to tame a breeze. Upvote!
