If you want to do a cave tame one of these 1: they can breath underwater good for an underwater cave

2: Small enough to fit in most small parts of the caves

3: A powerfull creature overall for deleting all of the cave creatures

Other: underwater spin attack stuns medium size creatures and dismounts othe players

Final note:thank you all who saw my tip and üq so more players can do the caves better and fight those bosses!

Apparently in ark mobile they can still be immobilized by bolas and can be carried by an argentavis

Most things a baryonyx can do a sarco can do just as effectively or better here is a list of what they are good for.

Baryonyx:

Pros: fast on land, can fit in almost every cave, has a bigger attack aoe, can stun things in water, can be bola'd and takes less tranqs to tame, can build up speed by spam jumping

Cons: slow in water, slightly weaker, can't stun big dinos (mosa, ect), usually needs a pen to tame, only eats fish, saddle unlocked at a higher level, saddle requires a smithy to craft

Sarcosuchus:

Pros: Fast in water, best turning radius in the game, instantly regains stamina underwater, stronger than bary, lower level saddle, can be "ridden" without the saddle, slow speed when wild makes it easy to tame

Cons: slow on land, small attack aoe, deathroll is kind of useless, can accidentally knock itself out by lunging/deathrolling, takes longer to tame, there is a glitch where occasionally sarcos will die or almost die when they exit water, has a hard time hitting bugs

They are great cave brawlers especially lava cave and swamp! Tame a really low level one for fish then tame a high level one. That’s how I do it

Absulutely amazing tame. Really easy for basilo taming and getting prime fish meat early game. Also they look cool:)

Great mount to get to and from hidden sea cave bases, they have enough health and the stun ability to fend of hungry megalodons, fast enough to get away from the nastier stuff like mosas and plesis if levelled a bit, no oxygen(idunno maybe they have gills or something), can get their favourite food source on the journey(fish), they also have decent health and damage, good tame if you like an aquatic lifestyle also equally good if you're just going down into the sea for resources.

Great for water caves as it avoids everything it a hit and run type deal

Almost every caves, strong creatures can't follow with you. Even some caves need to go underwater to get useful resorces or trophy and dossier and again, most creatures that you are familiar usually are not good at diving and swiming. If they are good at diving and swiming, they are too weak to travel caves and underwater's creatures.

But after baryonyx released, no worries. It will keep your safe and help combat from almost every normal cave's creatures(high lvl megalosaurus will tough at night times, but it is weak at day times and still your bary can tanking few sec if you spend points on health for most.), even it can dive into the water endlessly if you have preparation about oxygen, coldness or scuba and still it will help help your combat from underwater's creatures.

Can good swim 👍 good for game early 👍

Better than rex and depending on the lvl they can out damage spinos and tail spin attack is very useful in sticky situations

Almost lost my frog trying to tame it but it was worth it. It absolutely destroys all sea creatures with its secondary attack

Theres no reason not to tame a Bary, they are extremely usefull, from caving, to water taming and exploring, and just general traveling. They are very fast on land, being able to outrun raptors, carnos, even allos. When it comes to underwater capability, its got decent speed, being able to outrun all surface level water dinos, and being able to stun creatures as big as and smaller than a megalodon.

The only downside to the Baryonyx is its taming food, wich can be pretty annoying to find, unless youve got access to plenty of its kibble, wich comes from a pretty underused dino.

These are what I use to gather fish meat, which is useful since they, amongst other things such as otters, only eat fish meat. It’s a must have when breeding them and other fish eating dinos. Simply swim off shore, stun any megs/mantas, eat them as they sit there helplessly, rinse and repeat.

Best tame for spelunking, pretty fast on land and in water, if it’s high enough in levels has decent stats as well, best overall!

Guys u cant tame these guys with regular meat u gotta use fish meat lucky for u if u have a lot of fish meat and u can use that fish meat to tame a BARYONYX they r great swimmers I tamed it and it died to a spino 1 up = 1 rip for barry

This should have a weight reduction for anything fish related

On mobile if you get a auto clicker on the jump you can get to a lege and go light speed
