Baryonixes are great for caves.I recently farmed artifact of the hunter's cave with a lvl 40 on easy mode. It has about 1500 health and was able to kill arthroes and tens of areaneos at once.I got about 30 stacks of meat,1100 chitin and 150 hide and also lots of metal picks hatchets and arrows(normal and tranq) and the artifact itself(which I tributed and got a soothing balm) from the cave.It also leveled up two times.

If you want tranq arrows don't waste your narcotics and kill areaneos in caves with this ultimate cave mount

I'm still new to ark, but I have a baryonyx and he is a UNIT he's taken out rexes , theris and is my go to take when I need a cave cleared over all definitely take one.

I don't know about PC, but on mobile, Baryonyx is carryable by Argentavis

A must have for the Hidden Grotto on the Aberration DLC.

There are no Basilosaurus on Aberration and Baryonyx can rival the majority of aquatic creatures.

You could tame them in bog on genisis for an early ocean boom tame. Haven't tested it yet but I might use it to tame a giant turtle

This thing is a beast. It’s the top alpha killer for me, It’s strong, small and fast and great in the water. I just make the alphas go in the water and kill them there with the special underwater attack

I took one to the cave in the south first I was nervous but then I got brave enough and ran in I was killing everything in there then when I came out I had lots of prime meat and meat and chitin I felt like I was on the top of the world so bring a medium strong dinosaur to a cave

these are great in caves, though they have 1 weakness: their torpor drains EXTREMELY slowly. bring stimulants in case you get mobbed by snakes bc ur bary is gonna take a long time to wake up on its own

I recommend taming a baryonyx when level 35 (depends if you want to tame it in a low level)

This was the first creature I ever then a dodo, and I have to say, once he reached max level I killed alpha rexs, a few mosasaurs and even used it as my main damage dealer for megapithecus, brought a yuty a bunch of deadons and one allosaurus and destroyed gamma and beta, easily my favorite creature in the game.

Force feeding them fish heals them quick, but is time consuming. If you really want to heal them in just a few seconds, attack fish while riding them, or you can turn on seek fish on low health. They also are arguably the best at harvesting raw fish meat, especially from Megalodons.

these go well with Sarcos! they are both fast in water

They are pretty good at caves be carefull at lava cave mine died :(

Can only do stun attack in water

These are the opposites of iguadons! They are best in the water unlike iguadons, as well as looking similar & having decent stamina while swimming.

I tamed this thing very recently and it was absolutely worth it. Just make sure to use a sickle to get prime meat from the sabertooth salmons so you can tame it faster. Nothing should bother you while your taming except for maybe a Carno/sabertooth or two (if you have an above level 100 tank dino you should be fine). Once it’s tamed it will be a fast, tanky beast that can breath underwater and on land!

I don’t know if it’s because I’m on mobile or what but whenever I use a sickle on a saber samon I don’t get prime fish meat I would really appreciate if someone could tell me the reason, thank you
