I see your looking to tame a baryonyx here’s how!; 1 supplies, I recommend bringing 50 / 100 narcs depending on the level and what you are useing to tame it, as with any water carnivore, it eats fish, and kibble! So I recommend bringing eithor one of those, however if you feed it normal fish meat it’s the same as regular meat, and prime fish meat works as well as, eh you probably get the point, I recommend bringing a sickle with you for the knockout ill explain a lil bit later. Next on the shopping list is yours truly the forsaken net gun :0 anyway this will be used during the knockout! Pack at least three as baryonyx are very quick creatures! And finnaly to specify what type of mount you will need this is optional because you may be quicker and more maneuverable on foot, but as the baryonyx is too it will be 50/50 you manage to catch up with it! 2 Finding one is pretty simple, they spawn on every map that I know of, and they commonly spawn in swamps, or river canals that have fish spawn points! 3 Knockout, with a net gun this is very simple, when you think the area you are in isn’t safe, if your fast, or you have a good sturdy mount you can shoot from then your best bet is to have it aggro on you and let it chase you to a safer area once ur is a safer taming area, whip out ur net gun and slap it with a net to let it know you mean business next shoot it in the head with a tranq dart, this should be enough to knock out a decent lvled Gary really quick make sure you bring more just in case tho, once it’s out, take your sickle and find some salmon, dispatch them and harvest them using the sickle, this is the best bet on getting prime fish without going to a leedsycths. Kibble works great too! :D congratulations you have tamed a dinosaur with an over extended mouth! But for what reason? Here’s some great thing about the baryonyx!; Very agile, and versatile mounts, this Dino is great for covering a long distance very quickly, very great tame for low levels and moderate level players! Great cave mounts as they can jump! They can also swim quite well, when in the water they have a special attack that stuns anything within the splash range it makes, of course this only works when swimming! They also have a very effective way of healing! They can eithor go to the water and consume fish to heal, or you can manually do it to heal very quickly by consuming live fish! A well rounded out versatile tame, other than the fact it only eats exclusively fish meat or it will starve to death, as fish meat is relatively common, it’s a pretty easy task! Happy taming! REMINDER: fish meat. tame them with fish meat. no raw meat, no prime meat, just fish meat, prime fish meat, and pachyrhino kibble. NO RAW MEAT. REMEMBER THAT.

By far best dino to tame for deep sea exploration and farming. He's incredibly fast on land, out running taptors, carnos, theriz, etc. His swim speed in water is just as good, with megalodons crumpling to his stun and bite. Great stamina and offense, and you can stay away from base for days with this helpful guy.

Pick the Bary up with an argy and place it in a 2x2 stone cage(not wood!). The wall lvls only have to be one high and it won’t be able to escape, then tranq it till it’s knocked out then boom u have urself a baryonyx

I always trap these under my wyverns and then tranq them so I don't have to build traps.

These guys are pretty common around swamps, and sometimes you will find one along a beach. To tame them just make a 1x2 trap. I’ll list the items that I used; 2 wooden foundations (wood is just the minimum, I recommend stone.), 6 wood door frames, and a wooden ramp (this is just for the trap). You will need around 1 tranq arrow per level, or one tranq dart per 5 lvls (Make sure to shoot their head with tranq darts). Depending on the level and taming effectiveness, the amount of narcotics and food needed may vary. I would just bring however much food/narcotics you feel comfortable with bringing ( I would recommend raw prime fish meat, but if you have a lot of narcos you can use normal fish meat).

Can u pick up Bary with an Argy??? Click the forwards facing arrow ( I had to word it weird ) if yes, down if no. Tysm

1. Bola or put down a bear trap and get it stuck

2. Put 4 fence foundations down and then 4 doorways or walls around the Barry

3. Shoot it full or tranq darts (in the head with a crossbow and arrows works good if you don’t have a gun and darts)

It worked for me and a lvl 280 Barry hope this helps!

They didn’t update it yet but yes bolas affect the bary, even if it doesn’t say it. You basically have to have it run at you and you’ll be good.

Baryonyx are not that hard to tame. You can tame it in the Early game for a good travel mount in water and land,it’s also good for getting artifacts.now if you want to tame a Baryonyx your going to need fish or kibble,meat will not work.you don’t really need a longneck rifle, even though it would probably work faster if your looking to get your first artifact then you probably won’t want to wait until the like the mid game to get a Baryonyx.After finding the one you want,make a trap or have a pretty fast mount because Baryonyx’s are very fast. you could also find high ground and if it’s near water i’m pretty sure we all know we should NOT go in the water. after it’s knocked out give it your food of Choice and that’s a Baryonyx for ya.

If you are playing ark mobile or switch the bary did not get his change and you can still pick it up whit an argy and bola it

To all the people saying climb on a rock and shoot it with tranq arrows let me tell you all you need is bola and some tranqs. Then you should be all set.
