i would recommend trying to lure this Dino into a Bear trap and/or hit it with some bolas once it is on the floor you can hit it with a load of arrows knock it out and tame it

Great mid game tame! They swim well and are fast land mounts too. Super

easy to tame, used my trike as a soaker.

I have always found bx in the big south river. If you want to get the best cave tame you could want for most of the game, then get

1. 10-15 tranq arrows, just in case there is a high level or you have sheit aim like me

2. A bola or a mount with a good bit of health and you can shoot off its back

3. A calm soul so you don’t crap yourself when it comes at you

Now to explain the way to do this:

It’s a good idea to bring the saddle already made, and the plus of doing it in the river is you can go get some tasty fresh fish- prime fish. My preferred mount is the trike, high health and good weight, as well as the ability of beating the crap out of anything. Then let it attack the trike while you shoot it from on top your mount. It might run, then let it come back. You don’t need to chase it. Then shoot it again, and BAM! You can now actually explore lower south cave after the entrance!

To tame a bary can be easy and hard because if you are taming on panda will make it easier for you to tame it but in water I recommend tame it on land. Use bolas and tranq arrows or a wooden club to knock it out. If you get it raw meat to tame it won't work. So tame it with the preferred kibble or raw fish or cooked fish.

Just tamed TWO of these bad boys, awesome animal to have when exploring far from home and need good protection. Just don’t attempt to tame them if your just starting your world or you will be ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED.

Wile I was trying to tame I forgot to put my sarco to stop and so I whistle it to passive and it died but I still got the Baryonxe and I did not need narcotics or anything

Will eat exceptional kibble and works great 1 exceptional kibble tamed a lvl 55 up to 75% instantly. Bump so others know.

Pls put it to passive bcuz if not,some creatures will attack it too and your tamed bary will fight back,there is a higher chance that your bary will die if it fights back

No beginner got like two and never even need to. Craft another bola

Carry it to a pre made taming cage with an argy (the argy will be able to gank hits whilst carrying easily) then drop the Baryonyx in, and ez tame it. Also, don't use fish meat li,e everyone else is saying. Just use regular kibble.

How are you supposed to get fish meat if there are no fish

Bola. Then shoot with tranq arrrows. Only need three before you can go up to it and hit with Club. Tame with fish meat.

Just pick up with argie and drop in a 2x2 trap with door frames built 2 high all around. Add a large dino gate to reuse. Fun and easy tame for new players who can get the fish for it. Enjoy

All you need is 4 Dinosaur gates and 4 Dinosaur gateways. Set the gateways up in a box pattern with enough spaces in between them to shoot through. Then put the gates onto the gateways. Drop the bary in with an argy, wyvern, or quetzal and start tranqing it. Feed it Regular Kibble, Prime Fish Meat, or Fish Meat and in a little bit you’ll have yourself s baryonyx!

If one of these spawns near your base, ready a cross bow and climb on top of a rock at least two stories tall (they can climb up to one story) and aim a crossbow at it. Fire attacks untilnit runs away and chase it and start shooting at point blank.

Bola him and use tranq arrows to knock him out.

If you have a quetz, it can be as easy as pie. You can pick them up out of water or off land with a quetz, just make sure it's head is facing away from your quetzs body. I grabbed one out of the swamp and another from the big red canyon with waterfalls in ragnarok near the huge bridge, then flew it to a ready made trap and dropped it in. Knocked it out, ready with kibble.

Never get in water with them only on land or your dead also on center there to easy to find.
