I would not recommend using bear traps. They only immobilize it for about thirty seconds. JUST STOP BEING LAZY AND BUILD A TRAP!!!!

Someone said you can't Bola these. I just bola one and knocked it out. I play mobile so it may only work on that platform

If you can, get one of your high HP pets and get it to fall asleep near where you want to tame this bad boy. Lure it over, and when it starts attacking your bait, you've got a bunch of free tranq shots on a stationary target.

MAKE SURE YOUR BAIT HAS A LOT OF HP

These are a pretty good tame and can be easily knocked out with tranq arrows. And that will run at you when you first shoot them but they don’t do a lot of damage. Just keep sooting at it and then soot it one or to times when it starts to run away and then feed it fish meat. And I recommend tameing near water.

Don't listen to everyone stating you only need 5-7 tranq arrows. Bruh depending on the level you'll need more then a small amount. Honestly just in case I recommend 50+ asl long as you're taming high levels and not weak ones that are useless. Baryonyx are fast on land, faster in water. Their tail whip water attack stuns most creatures and if you raise up a baby and fully imprint you've got yourself an absolute land/water beast!

If you're planning on taming one of these guys or wanna hatch one remember they only fish meat, also for taming get around 5-10 tranq arrows and maybe 5 narcotics incase you need them

This creature is a best tame because it can make creatures stunned and good creature for caves i completed south cave with my baryonyx

Extremely skittish at times, one moment it chases and the next it runs away like a headless chicken. It also has a small aggro range and gets distracted easily, be sure to stay close when kiting. Make the pitfall trap at least 3x3 or larger to prevent the thing from jumping out on top of the ramp. More expensive but safer option is 4 dino gates and a bear trap.

On mobile just get a bola and start shooting him with the arrows , feed em and boom it’s now yours

Just tamed a lvl.112 it's so simple

1.make a basic ramp and doorframe trap (I recommend to make the doorframes two high)

2. Make about 70 trank arrows (depends on the level)

3.lead it into the trap and knock it out

4.feed prime or normal fish meat(WILL NOT EAT NORMAL MEAT)

5. Done! You now have a Baryonyx!

Note: saddle requires 25 metal and is unlocked at level 39.

U can carry these guys with argy! (At least in mobile u can)

Get on a high rock and shoot it then feed it FISH
