Make trap with stone walls well wood or thatch might work but still I would recommend stone walls you can knock it out with sling shot or tranq arrows

I tamed mine by freezing it with a snow owl and then putting Gates around it after that just knock it out find another one and breed for a mutation

Dude, taming this guy is super easy, they might seem like you can't trap them with a bola, but you can easily bola them, they usually stay near water, so you can just kill the fish in the water and use the raw fish meat to tame it

Hard to knock out find a low level

Being near the water these guys are very easy to catch in a simple raft trap. There’s no reason you can’t get a high level one!

These guys aren’t hard to tame just bola it, knock it out (they don’t have much torpor), then feed it fish meat, once tamed you have one of the best games in the game.

When not found in the swamp, easily tameable. Just lure it closer to your base, bola it, and tranq it.

Bola it this drill on the head with tranq arrows doest matter if it's with a bow or a crossbow but if it's over lever 50 then I recommend using a crossbow and I recommend using fish meat to tame.

For beginners you cN just bola them and whack em with a bat until their knocked out, I don't think it works on higher levels tho but it worked for me so it probably will work for you

It was so easy for me to tame one of these things!

Here is how:

You will need:wooden doorframes(4), wooden foundation, wooden ramp, fish, narcotics (if needed), and fish meat, bow/crossbow/longneck/slingshot, tranq ammo/rocks.

Make a trap by placing wooden doorframe on all side on a wooden foundation. Then add a wood ramp in the direction pointing to it. Fire at will, when you hit it, wait for it to be close and run through the trap. Now that it is trapped, knock it out with what you brought with you. Next, shove fish meat down its throat and narcos if needed. Bipity bopping boom! Enjoy your baryonyx but do not let it destroy other dangerous creatures if low leveled. WAIT UNTIL IT IS A HIGH LEVEL 20 AND ABOVE. Your friend, Sully 🦀

Just tamed one of these guys, he is really good and I recommend taming one, mid game tame, I don’t have saddle for him yet but he protected me from diloposaurus

Use crossbow and find a ledge but i dare you to 1v1 with fists (i did it after43 punches hp 10 from 245)

I would not recommend using bear traps. They only immobilize it for about thirty seconds. JUST STOP BEING LAZY AND BUILD A TRAP!!!!

Someone said you can't Bola these. I just bola one and knocked it out. I play mobile so it may only work on that platform

If you can, get one of your high HP pets and get it to fall asleep near where you want to tame this bad boy. Lure it over, and when it starts attacking your bait, you've got a bunch of free tranq shots on a stationary target.

MAKE SURE YOUR BAIT HAS A LOT OF HP

Don't listen to everyone stating you only need 5-7 tranq arrows. Bruh depending on the level you'll need more then a small amount. Honestly just in case I recommend 50+ asl long as you're taming high levels and not weak ones that are useless. Baryonyx are fast on land, faster in water. Their tail whip water attack stuns most creatures and if you raise up a baby and fully imprint you've got yourself an absolute land/water beast!

If you're planning on taming one of these guys or wanna hatch one remember they only fish meat, also for taming get around 5-10 tranq arrows and maybe 5 narcotics incase you need them
