Extremely skittish at times, one moment it chases and the next it runs away like a headless chicken. It also has a small aggro range and gets distracted easily, be sure to stay close when kiting. Make the pitfall trap at least 3x3 or larger to prevent the thing from jumping out on top of the ramp. More expensive but safer option is 4 dino gates and a bear trap.

On mobile just get a bola and start shooting him with the arrows , feed em and boom it’s now yours

Its simple stand out of the barrys range but just far enogh that the arrow can reach

They can be stopped with a bola, so use a bola when trying to tame them!

Just tamed a lvl.112 it's so simple

1.make a basic ramp and doorframe trap (I recommend to make the doorframes two high)

2. Make about 70 trank arrows (depends on the level)

3.lead it into the trap and knock it out

4.feed prime or normal fish meat(WILL NOT EAT NORMAL MEAT)

5. Done! You now have a Baryonyx!

Note: saddle requires 25 metal and is unlocked at level 39.

U can carry these guys with argy! (At least in mobile u can)

Get on a high rock and shoot it then feed it FISH

I'm on ark mobile and it only takes one trank arrow shot with a crossbow,and it tamed super quick with raw fish meat!Hope this was helpful!

Try using a 2x2 trap to tame them as it makes it easier to hide in while in the swamp ;)

I went to tame this guy with raw fish meat and saw it was a low level and I used god console to give it some levels and it instantly tamed it? 😂

These things CAN be picked up by Argentavis. At least on mobile, i was experimenting with mu Argy cause i just got her a saddle and i was able to pick up a Baryonyx on her.

If you happen to play on iPad it is possible to bola one.Rember the only eat fish and some kibble I personally use raw fish meat because there is a ocean near south swamp 3 .Baryonyxs are very good pets I highly recommend them

I’m pretty sure baryonyxes only eat fish because I was trying to force feed my baryonyx with raw meat and it didn’t do anything to its food so like I said I think they only eat fish but please correct me if I’m wrong up

Fast tame pachyrhino kibble 13 for 125 and a 130 prime fish meat and citronal for kibble

Decided to get 2 Barys and breed them, got some stat mutations for the first 2 eggs. The 3rd egg gives me an awesome Black and Cyan looking mutation with stat mutations!! I love this thing so much!
