I am about to go tame a pair to breed. Use an argentavis taming pen with a bear trap in the center with both doors open or use a 2 by 2 pen with walls and ramps on either side then knock out with tranq darts or arrows. Use a sickle for harvesting salmon

How to tame a Baryonyx

You will need: 8 doorframes, 1 foundation, 2 ramps, and about 30 tranq arrows

Build a trap with your foundations, doorframes, and ramps

Lure the Baryonyx into the trap

Shoot the Baryonyx with tranqs until it falls unconscious

Saddle up and ride your Baryonyx

Tip: They are a very good multi terrain creature but they are way better in the water and they don’t have an O2 stat

It’s very fast land and water, it knocks you out so don’t go in the water to much because you can drown if you get knocked out. (Learned from personal experience😁😁😁)

To knock out the Baryoyx, you can use a Bola and tranq arrows. After KO, feed raw fish meat, which works better than raw meat.

When searching, look near swamps and rivers. Do not encounter in the water. They are super fast at swimming. Just Bola it as soon as possible.

I just tame bary yesterday, i caged her inside the trap and i didn't fees ber for 2-3 day because i thought im gonna make some kibble but I can't wait because she might get hungry to dead and i was right, when i knocked it down, i checked her food and she barely have any percent left, her health is starting to get lower and lower so i quickly go find some fish and feed her in time because she dead

High levels are pretty hard to find and they spawn in the swamp so using a flyer is almost useless cause you can’t see them from up above maybe try using a Kapro or sarco to find one in the swamp and if you have kibble you probably don’t need narcotics but that depends on the max level in your server.

You can bola these on mobile even though it doesn’t say in Dododex. I don’t know why

How to tame a Baryonxy First Go to the swamp or redwoods. then look for one. after that knock it out with toxicant arrows. and after you knocked it out feed it raw fish and there u go. I hope this helps Peeps

If ur a high enough level get rifle and trank darts and it is like 4 hits if a low level and then just put a bunch or any fish meat or kibble they prefer pachyrino kibble

They scary when you in water they will kill your tame you anyone in sight be careful

These bad boys can stun lock you in the water, so if possible make sure you are on land when taming or fighting them.

Items you need. Bola x 1 club x 1 raw fish meet x 42 spear x 1 step one bola it step two knock it out with club step three hunt mega piranha and coelacanth with spear (also bring axe and pickaxe if your spear breaks)with fish meat feed baryonyx till it is tamed. And voila now you have a tamed baryonyx.

Get at least 200 or more health And then you can just tranq Arrow in the head while they try to kill you. Works for a level 28 and I haven’t tested higher

How I tamed one and knocked it put is 1. I lured it out of the water and used a slingshot from high up 2. Then when it was knocked out I used raw fish meat to tame it

If you have one nockt, make sure you have a sickel on you because je can get easily prime fish meat by killing sabertoothsalmons and harvest it with a sickel. Do this if you have no kibble because prime fish is easily to get and very cheap on this way

Shoot tranquilizer when fighting with a carbonymies.

Your best bet at taming one of these is to build a small pit-fall nearby and lead it inside (Baryonyx are very fast, so make sure you can outrun it. Otherwise, a Pteranodon may do the trick.) Use a crossbow and tranq arrows to knock it out. They are pescatarians, so make sure you have plenty of fish meat to tame them, but keep in mind that this will take much longer than other methods. It is highly recommended to use their prefered kibble, however it may not be readily available. Prime fish also does the trick pretty well, which is relatively easy to farm off of Coelacanth and Sabertooth Salmon with the metal sickle.

Once tamed, a Baryonyx will absolutely change the way you play the early/mid-game. They are amazing swimmers, lack an oxygen stat (they can stay underwater indefinitely) and have a tail-whip ability that can stun nearby enemies underwater, making them great for exploring the oceans without fear of a megalodon attack. Unfortunately, without any levels in your own oxygen stat, you won't be able to ride them for very long underwater before beginning to suffocate. They harvest a lot of fish meat and some biotoxin, which can help with taming other dinos.
