Encountering Tips

How do I kill a baryonyx? baryonyx battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
You can outrun the bary when you have about 170% movement speed but when your trying to escape from the bary watch where your going cause one false step you are DEAD MEAT btw upvoot this if it helped :D
Whenever i spawn in mobile there is a baryons waiting to kill me. I suggest getting a trike with good up and attack that isn’t to close to you to take it out while you shoot it with arrows
Great for cave exploring if you have a bola ready then taming will be a piece of cake. Don’t try to fight under water, you will die
Great dino for caves... There are lots and lots of other dinos to tame, but this is the og cave monster... Always take two when you're serious about exploring... Imprinted and mate boosted dinos are the best..! That being said, I tamed one of these bad boys with fish and it lost effectiveness so fast... I tamed a level 150 with fish, I starved it until it insta tamed to about 80% on vanilla official settings... It would have gotten 75 levels at 100% effectiveness, but I only got 37 levels with abysmal effectiveness... I've yet to see a dinos effectiveness drop so quickly... Maybe just because it was on 1x taming and I usually tame during events... Anyways it was a pain to capture... I couldn't get it to follow me with rare flowers and you certainly don't want to get in the water with it... Now to find a suitable mate...
Always check underwater before crossing rivers, not only you can scan for evil fish, but also scan for these guys underwater.
Also you can still bola them on ARK mobile.
Be careful of ther stun attack if you get stuned in the water your dead
Stay away from this guys they can stan you underwater i lost my lvl 88 carno
This might just be me but I knocked out a Bary and I left for a few seconds to get fish to feed em but when I came back he was gone and “You have entered a Dangerous Area still popped, Any suggestions?
Keep out of water and kill it with a pike or knife or a bow
If your caving with these guys or doing something dangerous, make sure you have fish meat they heal at the speed of doing with that stuff where in areas regular meet does almost nothing.
Very useful, however, do not let it fall in the water overseas. Same with sarcos. My friend had two sarcos... they BOTH died to cnidaria, and my other friends Baryonyx died to three megs.. R.I.P british, she killed two...
Uhm I went to genesis 1 and well let's just say I found out its tall on land faster than you do NOT unless there is another dino that lives on land then go to other dino that doesn't live in the water and run
Tip for ark mobile players with a baryonx problem near base or just wanna kill for loot do the dilo kill quest for the upgraded bow and get maybe 10 stone arrows ish depending on its level I would get 15 incase u miss a lot get on a rock /hill or any ledge where u can shoot shots with ease and DO NOT FIGHT IN WATER ITS LIKE FIGHTING A SARCO IN THE WATER you will probably die.
This creature always spawns in South zone 1 if you see it just run
OK
On crystal isles they are very common in the swampy area between copper peaks and the desert make sure to avoid kapros
They have a stun attack when they are in the water that lasts for 7 to 10 seconds so make sure your on land.
I saw this killing a carbo and it went for me right after and I nearly lost my life and my iguanodon if I didn’t get off and fight back (THIS IS FASTER THAN MOST LOW LEVEL IGUANODONS)
On Mobile, Easy gamemode: I fought it because I had to (it was near my base) and all you really need if on land is a tame with good health to tank damage (like a higher leveled carbonemys).
(This wasn't actually the case for me, because I had to sacrifice some of my lower leveled tames like my moschops and one of my dodoes, but then again, I wasn't expecting it to spawn all of a sudden.)
They can be picked up by argentavis in mobile.
This guy is not a predator, they won't go after you like Raptors for example. They're just territorial, so just don't be next to them and you'll be fine. But specially, DON'T go in the water if you see one, bc it doesn't matter how "weak" they seem to be, they WILL kill you if you're not with a strong dino. DON'T GO IN THE WATER
