Only eats fish? This thing just ate a trike.

it’s not so hard to tame it, you need something that can fly and some stone buildings:

1. i built 4 square stone foundation, put around it stone door frames twice to height and to any of it put 2 of ramp outside

2. just bait him to this stone box, you can do it by flying from right direction, or you can do it by walk, just bait him and quickly run to box, you can go through door frames, it can to it

3. give torpor to it, i used crossbow and tranq arrows

4. it eats ONLY fish, but i used blue kibble (to 68 lvl i spent 3 of them

5. done

Thinking of breeding these guys into the ultimate cave running monster, for however long I've played ark now is the only time I've really focused on this guy. Tamed a level 120 one plus the taming bonus up to 140, used entry dexes to level it up faster now at level 160, after killing 3 alpha megalodons by just stun locking them and killing em slowly then leveled up it's attack and health before focusing on speed.

Can stun cnidaria. I plan on breeding these and going on a jelly murder spree 😡🪼

This animal is a fantastic mount in caves; if its health is low, it can regain it extremely quickly by entering the water and killing some fish. It only eats fish meat, can live underwater, and fits into most caves.

It's like a small Allo combined with a Kapro, in my opinion. Useful on both land & in the water. Use its secondary attack while swimming to stun, attack, and harvest. Does NOT stun Cnidarias, though, so do not expect to overpower them.

2 Baryonyx died during the aquatic war at solo player. One was killed by a Baryonyx while the dead bodies of Megapirhana, 2 Kaprosuchus, and 1 Sarcosuchus float around. The other one was killed by another Baryonyx stunning my Baryonyx in the water and then adding some extras by attracting 3 Cnidaria. A memory that remains in my head.

The thing you should do is

1. Make a pen and get them in it

2.get a good level like a 123 or something

3. Now you can kill alpha raptor

Do not underestimate the usefulness of these guys, I had I baryonyx that was a low level and he still was able of taking on most creatures and was such a good travel mount

So, I began playing Ark, and happened to build a base right next to where a Baryonyx lived. My friend was gathering things from the other side of the river, and led one right to the base. It had been like a Jaws movie for the next few days. Well, I have formed a plan to get rid of it. Wish me luck!

Breading warning: Babies will only eat fish meat, will not eat regular raw meat, died instead.

Why do they attack me and other herbivores if they only eat fish meat?

This has become one of my favorite dinos, in it's class it's excellent as a mount or even spam. There's a stun effect to it's hits. But it should half the weight of fish to be honest. Like to push this to the top. Let people know! WildCard!!?

The baryonyx is great for getting raw fish meat and raw prime fish meat

Here’s how to tame a bary

Step 1 get raw fish meat or raw prime fish meat

Step 2 get a cross bow or a bow (I used a cross bow )

Step 3 find a bary and get on high ground so it doesn’t get you (you can build a trap but I just did the high ground)

Step 4 knock it out

Step 5 put the raw fish meat or raw prime fish meat in its inventory

Step 6 wait till it tames

Now you have a bary I hope this helps:)

Not sure if anyone new about this, but apparently they can heal well when they kill and eat fish, specifically Salmon, Pihrannas, and Coelocanths

They don’t eat RAW MEAT they only eat fish

These animals do wonderfully for caving expeditions! They especially work nicely in undersea caves as well. All you gotta do is pump into health and melee, find a high level Bary and you’re golden. Imprinted ones are a nice bonus but the one I use was wild caught at lv. 145. Just finished the cave containing the Artifact of the Clever with my Baryonyx, Greenbeard. He slew many bats and spiders. He is my indispensable caving mount and made it a breeze. Plus if you fall into water, that tail spin makes short work of most aquatic critters. Please, Wildcard, never nerf this tame. 100/10, a wonderful and good boi for any survivor to have.

Seems as of the new TLC you can no longer pick them up with an Argentavis and they seem to be larger.
