Baryonixes are great for caves.I recently farmed artifact of the hunter's cave with a lvl 40 on easy mode. It has about 1500 health and was able to kill arthroes and tens of areaneos at once.I got about 30 stacks of meat,1100 chitin and 150 hide and also lots of metal picks hatchets and arrows(normal and tranq) and the artifact itself(which I tributed and got a soothing balm) from the cave.It also leveled up two times.

If you want tranq arrows don't waste your narcotics and kill areaneos in caves with this ultimate cave mount

DO NOT belive other tips and google you CANNOT Bola the baryonyx you will just get your self killed

This is for my low level noobs, use 3 wooden billboards and place 2 in a arrow shape, agro it and run around the side effectively trapping it then get a bit closer and place the last one making a triangle, then trank quickly, I managed to knock a 140 with just prim gear and standerd arrows before it could break out

I recommend taming a baryonyx when level 35 (depends if you want to tame it in a low level)

It has a pretty low aggro range, maybe the length of 2 and a half trikes? But still, don’t go near this while in the water.

Most common method to tame is walking backwards while shooting.

Bola while doing this for a headstart or easier headshots (or both)

Force feeding them fish heals them quick, but is time consuming. If you really want to heal them in just a few seconds, attack fish while riding them, or you can turn on seek fish on low health. They also are arguably the best at harvesting raw fish meat, especially from Megalodons.

To the guy who said they only eat fish meat, they can also eat raw meat when they are tamed.

DO NOT try taming in water it will nock you of its mount and kill everything you have it happened to me🤕

As long as you have a good tranq gun, some darts, narcotics, and a bear trap, you are good to go on taming a Bary

these go well with Sarcos! they are both fast in water

So there was one of these guys near my house, I was worried that it’s gonna attack my house someday. So I decided to tame a few dilos (21 if you must know) and took him out. Man didn’t even get the chance to fight back (I didn’t go in and attack him, I target whistled) (He wasn’t in the water at that time)

These guys are the kings of the seas theres only one thing you should fear jellyfish they need a nerf the stunned my baryonx and knocked me like 40 meters away from him so he died.

This was the first creature I ever then a dodo, and I have to say, once he reached max level I killed alpha rexs, a few mosasaurs and even used it as my main damage dealer for megapithecus, brought a yuty a bunch of deadons and one allosaurus and destroyed gamma and beta, easily my favorite creature in the game.

For the people who are new to this dinosaur

It is knockout tame , to tame them you need raw fish meat or raw prime fish meat

It’s fast in the water and if fully submerged it can do a stun attack on small and medium sized creatures

An easy way to tame and my favorite is make a 2 wide and 4 long STONE trap with 2 high stone doorframes all around with wooden ramps on one side

Simply lure in and it can’t escape.
