In terms of danger, these guys are about as much of a threat as carnos. They're similarly sized, and can be avoided almost the same way. Just keep out of water near a baryonyx, as they're much faster when swimming.

Baryonixes are great for caves.I recently farmed artifact of the hunter's cave with a lvl 40 on easy mode. It has about 1500 health and was able to kill arthroes and tens of areaneos at once.I got about 30 stacks of meat,1100 chitin and 150 hide and also lots of metal picks hatchets and arrows(normal and tranq) and the artifact itself(which I tributed and got a soothing balm) from the cave.It also leveled up two times.

My suggestion for easily taming these guys:

Build a wall of wood pillars that look like a [ from above, then place 3 bear traps (or a rock ledge if it’s nearby) in front of yourself, tranq it so it runs into the bear traps slowing it and giving you a few bonus hits. When it runs make sure the pillars are directly behind it, the edges going out will make sure that it doesn’t just go around the wall. After it’s running just enjoy your tame. If on mobile make sure you do the hunter cave for 10x soothing balm for EVERY TAME. It will make the taming process a few minutes on every Dino.

This thing is a beast. It’s the top alpha killer for me, It’s strong, small and fast and great in the water. I just make the alphas go in the water and kill them there with the special underwater attack

1 make a small stone house with windows.

2 shoot bary

3 run to house

4 shoot through window

5 keep shooting until it starts running away and shortly after it will be knocked out

6 feed it fish and narcotics

I tamed one of these and they are SO POWERFUL I recommend this cause some are easy to tame if you have a argh and bring it to a safe spot.

Climb on a rock and shoot it with tranquilizer arrows. Better if you lure the Baryonyx on land first.

Be careful in the water they can stun you.

When encountering this animal don’t get in the water but however it stuns you in the water You might not make it, it will keep stunning you until you die so be careful and when you’re looking and see one you run.

I took one to the cave in the south first I was nervous but then I got brave enough and ran in I was killing everything in there then when I came out I had lots of prime meat and meat and chitin I felt like I was on the top of the world so bring a medium strong dinosaur to a cave

ONLY fight them on the banks, NEVER engage in water. These things are fast, so I recommend a bola to keep them in place while you either kill them or tame them.

This is for my low level noobs, use 3 wooden billboards and place 2 in a arrow shape, agro it and run around the side effectively trapping it then get a bit closer and place the last one making a triangle, then trank quickly, I managed to knock a 140 with just prim gear and standerd arrows before it could break out

THEY CAN’T BE BOLA’D ANYMORE! In a recent update, their weight class was changed and they can no longer be immobilized by a bola. Build a 2x2 trap out of stone with a ramp leading up and you should be fine.

For Beginners: Get atleast 7 Tranq arrows,or more.

First,You have to Lure a Baryonyx to a rock it can't climb.

Second: fricking shoot Tranq arrows at it

Third: Feed it Prime fish meat/Fish meat (Kibble is the best one) for mobile,it likes Pachyrhinosaurus Kibble.

Fourth: Now you got the best Semi Aquatic dinosaur,It can also do Caves (But not lava ones).

I recommend taming a baryonyx when level 35 (depends if you want to tame it in a low level)
