Why does this eat me when it only eats fish? It’s not like animals will kill anything that they don’t eat unless they feel threatened, so it makes no sense.

Quick tip in ark mobile A eel was attacking me but my bary was not affected but i dont know if this really works so, not immune to jellyfish though

USE THESE GUYS TO DO SWAMP CAVE. I got my own snappy boi (that's his name) who was a Lvl 140 I found on Crystal Isle. He was the best, I am going to run swamp cave today with him cuzz he can jump, hold his own against tons of nasties and can swim. LIKE, HOW COOL IS THAT.

So I found one of these guys on the footpaw, and he was near some rocks that contained metal. I needed him dead but all I had was a pike. I suggest sniping him with a bow, then standing next to a trike to tick off the trike to fight the Baryonyx

You can easily do caves with this thing. Most useful mobile tame?

Doesn't fare well in lava, tried to jump over a river with my 240, it ended up causing me to swim which killed me and it instantly

I tamed a level 145 around 2 weeks ago now it's level 200 it's a monster i killed a level 140 rex

Yo what’s up I have a short tip when encountering this bit don’t be in the water ok but if you need to tame 100traq for a lvl 150 and you will have to get high: when it runs away I think it’s a good idea to get on a fast Dino if this doesn’t work out for you dslike if it works like 👍 but it’s okay if you dslike or don’t like I just want to help you 🙂

Beware for these things if you encounter one, and you are not at least level 100 run fly whatever you can. These guys are fast on land and in water. Sometimes it feels like they don’t run out of stamina. You’ll be minding your own business, collecting wood or whatever, and the sky will pop out of nowhere and kill you in one bite so run or fly if you see one

I brought it back to some spike walls and just sat behind them and shot maybe 10 darts and he went down and when I used him for the first time I lagged out in the water and he died to piranhas 😭😭

These things are op, easily one of my favorite dinos. They are faster than a raptor, have a lot of stamina and decent weight, and their secondary attack stuns almost anything underwater making an easy alpha meg or leed kills and free xp. Just make a 2x2 foundation with stone door frames to trap it. Simple. I tamed a lvl 60 at level 30 with a wooden bow it’s easy

How to tame a baryonx simple method:

1. Bring a pterandon with you and also bring at least 20 fish meat and 10-15 tranq arrows just in case plus a bola

2. Find one in the swamps or rivers

3. Go near it (not too near itll attack you)

4. Once it chases you, lead it somewhere safe where there are no other predators or creatures that are roaming around

5. Dismount, bola it, tranq it

6. Feed it tame it and there you have a baryonx

On mobile the Argentina can carry it

The best all round mount in ark.

I'm still new to ark, but I have a baryonyx and he is a UNIT he's taken out rexes , theris and is my go to take when I need a cave cleared over all definitely take one.

They can usually be found in swamps with a pretty decent spawn rate and they can be bola'd too
