First, make sure no voidwyrms are nearby, as they will try to kill you. Next, pet the Astrodelphis. Finally, put element in the last slot of your hot bar and start feeding it to the Astrodelphis. Thanks for reading my tip!

U have to pet it and feed element. The amount of element goes up each time u have to feed, but the taming bar will fill up faster. Easy element u can gather by using an anky or pickaxe on the blue crystals in the space between the bridges. In the center of the map

Swim up to the dolphin until it notices you. If it squeaks, you're in business, if you see red sparks from it's blowhole and it screams, you're in trouble. Keep hard element in your final hotbar slot. Dolphins aggro every other dolphin when fed. Make sure the one you want is alone. Always keep the dolphin between you and the direction you want it to go, because it will run away occasionally and you don't want it running into a pack of other dolphins or a wyrm. Sometimes they swim away after 3 pets, 2 pets and a feed, or just one pet. The bite during taming doesn't hurt much so just stay away from the mouth. The bite during true aggro hurts a lot.

Biggest tip: when the dolphin swims away STAY RIGHT ON IT because the taming bar will absolutely plummet 5-10% every second if you don't pet it fast enough. Because of this bring way more element than you'd expect to use. Around 3 stacks of 100 each should be enough. You never know when you'll have to reposition your target or avoid hostiles so be prepared to lose some progress.

Update: as a baby raising, they eat meat and fish. Not element like it is to tame.

Kill all the ones in the pod except the one you want pet it then grapple it with a grappling hook and tame like a crystal wyvern

Don't grapple it doesn't work if you see anyone say that don't believe it

Increasing dmg stat does not increase saddle weapon dmg. Seemed intuitive based on saddle info but was not the case. Found out after doing more research myself but hopefully I can save someone else some heartache

(Xbox controls) So they have their basic mode, where they fly slowly and can go in water. Then, when you press the tertiary attack button, it goes into star fighter mode, and the wings extend. It becomes a plane, and in sprint mode goes extra fast. It can tip right or left with the movement button, but it flies on its own and just goes forward. You can use the movement button and move it left or right twice to do a barrel roll to that side. Pressing the primary attack fires two small two cannons, secondary attack (if you have grenades) fires a rocket and holding primary attack will lock onto a target and fire a ten missile. If you fire a rocket, you can press secondary attack again and explode it prematurely. Tertiary attack does a loop, which can help you get on an enemies tail. You can pull back on the movement button to slow it down, and if you aren’t sprinting, forward to speed it slightly. It is the fighter counterpart to the astrocetus, which is something of a bomber helicopter. It would be something to see two players dogfight with this, although to effectively use it drains element. Overall, it is the master fighter of the skies, and can flee to the water if the battle is not going well, and if things are bad underwater it can always fly out. Weapons are not equip able, but you are plenty set without them. When sprinting, they get an extra speed boost when they dive. I find them to be an excellent advanced battle creature, and would recommend to anyone. They are fast, safe, maneuverable, and they can hold their own in or escape from any situation. You can fly in gen1 without flyers enabled because they are considered a water creature. Weird but look under what category they are in dododex

We’ve got the four biomes, but none of them really suit this creature. Therefore, we can assume that we will be able to go into open space, which begs the question; what other dangers and wonders will we be able to encounter?

BEWARE OF FOOD DROPPING. Not sure if it is a glitch but within a minute or so of taming it was starving. Filled with with a few stacks of meat and it ate them all and starving within another few minutes. Bring extra meat.

To disable star fighter mode you need to HOLD r3 on PS4/5

If you don’t want a fight with the thing don’t use the tek suit jet pack, boost, scan, anything that has to do with the tek suit or it will starting hurting you. Not the play bumps but it will actually attack you and you can know if it is going to attack if it shoots red out of its blowhole (the hole on the top of its head)
