Theres an issue for me in Singleplayer where they teleport away never to be found again if their close to being knocked out using the Bloodstalker and Rocket Launcher method. The easiest way for me is to lure it near the land and fire a Cannon Shell from a mek. People say to use the Skiff and Cannon method but it might teleport away aswell.

If you fall you will be teleported back to the nearest land mass. Just FYI. Used mek and kod 3 each with 1 shot to the head. Highest level 100 lowest level 25. Use hazmat suit to be able to move around in radiation and not burn to death. Bring med brews and stew to counter freezing.

You can use canon stryder for Knock Out

Become a space pirate load a skiff with cannons aim for the head and knock it out easier with 2-4 people.

DONT USE HIGH LEVEL MEKS TO TAME THIS Because when you shoot at it with the missle thing you'd just killed it

The best way to tame it is with a skiff armed with 2 Canon at the front of it.

Shoot one Canon first, wait for the whale to come to you, then shoot both Canon : it sleeps

Once tamed and saddled can be used to teleport and clip into a base or through a death wall

The whale is awesome and really colorful

Aggressive if you get to close will bite you but don’t worry about that it doesn’t to you much damage but watch out for tail wipe

They seriously need to make the luner biome easier radiation in the light, extreme cold in the shade,attack drones, defense units that can't be kite off the asteroids and also target humans from a really big distance,animals everywhere,lvl 180 tek rexes everywhere,extreme spawn rates. Need I say more?

One tip to get theses guys be epic and DONT mess... IT UP!!!!!

On PvE I use mine as fancy storage containers

You can find astrocetus in the space biome of gen 2. From my experience they seem to spawn more during ambergris space (although I have no actual evidence to back this up). If you manage to find a good one it's pretty easy to trap them in the narrow area of the space bridges with a few behemoth gates.

Get a mek,put the rocket launcher attachment on it,then shoot at its head

Because of no Tek Skiff on Gen 2 without unlocking it via Gen 1, I recommend using a Tek Stryder with a shield and a gun attachment, this way you can aim your canon effectively without much movement from the Stryder.

The shield (preferably the front facing one) will be a good defence against hostiles and you can pick them off.

In the hunting mission, they can hurt metal objects, like billboards.

This guy is gonna glich though a base and his turrets damage tek it has a buff were the turrets do more damage to element so worth the tame if your on pvp

Use extraordinary kibble. Exceptional kibble isn't good enough.

You can tame them pretty easily with rockets by shooting it to head
