"It was just a bad dream" he thought, but then he realized it wasn't Rick's house, or the cave. He managed to lift his head and look around, he felt like he had just run a marathon, before getting stung by 100s of bees. He lowered his head and tried to fall asleep again, but he felt like he was being watched. He opened his eyes and saw a tall man wearing green robes leaning against the wall holding a cup of what must have been tea. "who...are you?" Jerry managed to ask....

“Did I do that?” Ping said. “Yup I think you got him.” Caesar said. “Oh.. woops” Ping said. “No woops needed, nice work little guy!” The chief said. Jaxz flew down from the prison cell he was hiding in and said, “oh well.. Drains not a problem anymore.” “Another desmodus get him!” One of the gigantopithicus said, and he and some others held up spears to throw at Jaxz. “Wait boys! He freed us!” Darrel said. “Oh.. sorry bout that.” The gigantopithicus said. “Well i guess I’m homeless now..” Jaxz said, looking at the wreckage of the cave. “You could come with us.” Ron said. “Really?” Jaxz said. “Why not we already have a smart meso a dumb kairuku, a weird sinomacrops, and a crazy dodo. What’s a non psycho desmodus?” Caesar said. “Alright. sure I’ll come!” Jaxz said.
They marched out of the cave victorious, they parted ways with the troop, but the chief said, if the group ever needed aid they would be there. The group made camp, because it was now sunset, “so what’s the point of this group?” Jaxz asked. “to slay the mighty dragon” Nash answered. “Wait what! I just left the desmoduses because that was their plan!” Jaxz said. “Well we actually have a plan beyond “bite him!” So there’s that” Caesar said. “Hmm I guess that helps,” Jaxz said “anyone want to tell scary stories? It’s desmodus tradition to tell them wile at camp.” “Sure why not!” Said Ron. “Ok! I’ll probably wet myself tho, hehe.” Ping said, and Nash, and Ron, who were seated next to him scooted away. “Alright, this story is true,” Jaxz said “it’s about the weremeso! a small desmodus was flying through the dark night forest, when a oraneo witch, cursed him because he called her ugly, she was ugly, but that’s beyond the point, so he ran back to his cave in terror, but the next full moon he transformed! Into a half desmodus, half mesopithicus beast! the other desmodus tried to fight back but he was too strong, so the next day they banished him from the cave, and he was forced to walk the woods forever alone, and every full moon you can still hear the ape-like hooting of the WEREMESO!!” At that moment they heard ape-like hooting, and most of them screamed, except Caesar who just glared. “That story was absurd, and it’s not even full moon,” he said gesturing at the white crescent in the sky, “and I think that hooting is just the gigantopithicus troop..” he said. “Hehe I was right.. I peed.” Ping said, Nash and Ron scooted farther away “that’s gross, Ping” Ron said.

Forest whipped his head around, searching for a spot to hide.
“A thieving Deinonychus requesting assistance?” Spark asked. “No way.”
“Spark he needs us,” Forest said. “Let’s just help him hide. Over here.” He jumped forward to a fallen tree, carpeted in curtly long moss and vines. “Climb under.”
The deinonychus dove for the hidden spot, and Spark followed.
“Aren’t you coming?” Spark whispered, poking her head out.
“No. There’s not enough room in there.” Forest climbed to the highest boulder he could find and pressed his body against the rock. “Hide,” he called down.
As the crashing of talons came closer, Forest fixed his scales to the color of the grey -white stone. He felt his feathers and scales shiver, and soon enough he was well hidden. A Kaprosuchus burst from the forest.
She glanced around, sneering. Her fangs gleamed in the sunlight, and her tail thrashed the ground. Her smooth scales were the color of washed-out scarlet petals.
“Stupid Deinonychus,” she muttered. Forest held himself as still as he could. He hoped The other two were doing the same.
Then the Kapro whipped around and stomped back down the hill, and her tail disappeared in the bushes.
A few minutes later of hiding, the deinonychus burst out laughing.
“Wasn’t that great?” He exclaimed, rolling out from the hiding spot. Spark came out second, looking faintly amused. “I’m mean, her FACE when I grabbed that kill. And then—hah! Then you guys! I was THIS close to being a pile of bones.”
“That’s wasn’t funny,” Spark said. “It was thieving.”
“So worth it,” The deinonychus said, smiling with all his teeth. “Priceless!” He fell back into another fit of laughs.
“We have to go now,” Spark said. Forest climbed down the rock and stepped next to her.
The deinonychus turned to look at them, arching his eyebrows. “You are a… strange couple, don’t you think?”
“What?” The two looked at each other. “No!” They said at the same time. “We’re just wandering,” Spark said.
“We have to save the world.” Forest said directly after. Spark whacked him with her tail. “What?”
“Save the world?” The deinonychus asked, standing up. He set down the chunk of meat, looking intrigued. “Gee, I wish I could save the world. That be great!”
“So that you’re loved and no one will care that you steal things?” Spark guessed.
He opened and closed his mouth a few times, then perked up. “Can I tag along? Just for a few days?”
“What?” Spark exploded. Forest gave her a look. “Why?”
“We’ll you guys and your ‘wandering’ might be fun!” He said. “So can I?”
Spark turned to Forest. “What do you think?” She asked him.
“Hmm,” Forest looked to the desperate feathers dinosaur. He’s a thief, Forest thought, but he want a a second chance. Maybe he can change. “He can come along.”
“YES,” The deinonychus said, hopping from foot to foot. “What are your names?”
“I’m Forest and this is Spark,” Forest said, turning to the Carnotaur. “You?”
“The names Rust,” the deinonychus said, letting out a side smile. His blue-orange feathers swayed in the breeze.
“Alright then,” Spark said. “Let’s go.”
“To fulfill a prophecy,” Forest said, following.
“To save the world!” Rust bellowed. “Hooray!”
