They don't deal torpor, the guy who said they could can't even spell torpor, arthro do a recoil damage and have a spit which breaks your armour, so try to avoid the spit:)

I once got one tapped by one of these when i unmounted my carno by accident. My armor is 900+ so i think they might have some armor piercing effect. They dont deal much damage to your tames but instead they reflect your tames' damage (your tames only get damaged when they melee damage arthros). These are on mobile btw i dont know how the pc version is but anyways becareful if you choose to go caving on foot and goodluck to you my guy :D

Be careful when approaching them, as their spit will destroy your armor! If they shoot it at you, duck or move to the side.

take off the more expensive armor, but still leave on some on, they WILL kill you off your dino (battle only on a dino, too deadly)

It can brake any armor. But there is a way to protect your self from there spit. BRING SHIELDS. If you have a shield in your of hand, when it goes to spit at you, immediately pull up you shield. If it hits your shield, it has a chance of braking, but your armor is saved. I have tried this it, and it does work. BRING SHIELDS!!!

Don't wear your tek while caving or trying to tame one of these?

Watch out for it's spit attack. It's really hard to evade and will instantly destroy most types of armor. I suggest taking your armor off before you attack/aggro one.

Did you guys know that especially arthropleura can be easily kill with range weapon. For examplelike bow, crosbow, longneck rifle and much more, just promise it was a range weapon. Shooting it with any range weapon will rate the damage taken of it. Also attacking it using any melee weapons or hands is the worst idea ever! It can inlflict 300% of damage taken to yourself if you attack it with any melee weapons or hands while tamed creature only take 0.25% inflicted damage to itself. Beware, arthropleura poison will slighty drain your health but dealt a massive damage to your armour. It is very usefull in PvP to breakdown a metal foundation, but sadly, arhtro is not that very good swimmer, not fast, and not even carry a big amount of weight. Lv 1 arhtro can only carry much as 100 Kg.

Did you guys know that especially arhtropleura can be kill easily using any range weapon? For example like bow, crossbow, coumpound bow and much more, promise it was range weapon. Arthropleura will take up to 125% damage if it was shoot by range weapon. Its poison slightly decrease your health but if you wearing a shield, your shield will take double damage as how the basic damage arthropleura do. Attacking it with melee weapon or hands will inflict 300% of the damage taken (if it was a player) while the tame creature only take 0.25% of its damage. So to kill arthropleura, use tamed creature or range weapon. Using melee weapon is the worst idea ever!

The acid spit can hit you even while mounted, found out the hard way when I went spelunking on my saved all my armor gone.

Use a velonasaur, as its turret attack can outrange their spit. Also aim for the head to do extra damage!

Btw these guys take increased damage from projectiles. In case you didn’t know.
