If you need to tame one of these guys i advice u to tame a scorpion first , they will not attack you and you can feed them spoiled meat pecefuly

If you play pvp servers, and you want to destroy bases early on, these guys are really good because they can break anything. It just takes a bit of time.

I just wore a Ghillie suit, consumed bug repellant and sneaked behind it. Totally works.

FYI: They delete metal weapons durability way fast so go with a Long neck rifle and shoot from a distance, close combat with them in a tight spot equals death

So, as far as I can tell, arthropluera deal more torpor damage for their melee stat than scorpions. I dont know if scorpions somehow scale better but this is what I have so far

My data so far:

Lvl 23 arthro - 202% melee ~ 170 torpor over a little under 10 seconds

Lvl 21 pulmino - 226% melee ~ 106 torpor over 10 seconds

Both were done in a single hit on a lvl 23 trike. Data is from mobile on easy

You may encounter this giant insect in cave, many people are scared just because it can one shot you even in full TEK suit, but don't get fooled by their looks and stats, they are slow and their attack recovery speed is lower than you, and they can shoot poisonous fluid from distance (super EZ to dodge) and their radar is short so best choice is...... You name it!!! A bow. Gauge them from distance and pow!!! Most of them are usually not that tough so good luck. (Don't fight them if other hostile are present around the area) don't mess up.

Thanks to the Halloween event where these SOBs spawn anywhere they like near my base I've discovered they can slide under gates......you expect to be safe from land creatures, BUT NO. Current death count from unexpected attacks at 2.

Easy tame!!!

1. Make some bug repellent

2. Get some Broth of Enlightenment

3. Go to Cave of Hunter and kill basically anything in the caves but leave the Arthro you wish to tame

4. Get some distance between you and the Arthro and take the bug repellent

5. Dismount your tame and walk up to it and give it the Broth of Enlightenment (took me only 1 with a 10x Soothing Balm to get a lvl 130)

6. Bam!!! You can run the Cave of the Strong and Immune without even being attacked

Hint: I did this on mobile so not sure if this method works for console and PC

All you have to do is tame a scorpion and ride up to an arthro on the scorpion and feed it spoiled meat. The arthro will not aggro on you while you are riding the scorpion. I did this on my mobile world so I can confirm that this works at least on mobile.

They have no gender/sex so they can't breed or have a matr boost. They also can't drown so you can technically walk on the ocean floor with them if you want.

Can destroy iron and tek walls. No need for c4

leave these guys into water they will automatically deactivate aggression in water then you can start taming your army. I have a full army of like 20 billion or something using God console too. Don’t always fear these guys if you don’t have console just leave them into a water pool kill the piranhas kill the threats in the water and then you can tame your army.

If you want to kill it, get a crossbow, but DON’T hit it with melee weapons. My sword broke in two swings! If you want to tame, get bug repellent or ghillie (or both) and feed spoiled meat. Also, don’t let it hit you, it broke me Mastercraft chitin armor in two-three hits. Hope this helps. Peace out ✌️

-Taming ARK Mobile-

*Note : If you kill Arthropluera, take its implant, and revive it back, it will not be immune to aggro, and you will be attacked by cave creatures. You must only tame it in the cave.

1. Wear ghillie suit(optional, but would be better if you have it), and use bug repellant.

2. Find your desired level of Arthropluera. Then kill all cave creature around it(spiders, scorpions, bats, snakes).

3. Walk up to the Arthropluera slowly and because you're on mobile, make sure not to accidentally punch it.

4. Put taming food(Broth of Enlightenment, Spoiled meat) in your quick inventory because this thing use non-violent tame method. When you see the prompt feed it until it is tamed.

5. Congratulations, now you got yourself an Arthropluera. Now you can explore swamp cave and yeti cave without the fear of getting attack by high level cave creature.

Use the broth of enlightment, since it is their kibble. If you use a broth of enlightment a a balm it I a insta tame, since authors take forever to eat. You can find the recipe on google or something, be warned, it is EXPENSIVE.

I tamed one in the hunter cave when I went to get the hunters artifact, and I lured it into the water and used broth of enlightenment. Guess what cave I did next?

Go to the center, head to the rock head at 61 LAT 67 LON lure a artho of into the water tame it with spoiled easiest and quickest way in my opinion of years in ark

Best way to tame is to simply get your self some bug repellent and a full ghilie suit. After you have these things simply feed old meat and sit from it at a distance and keep feeding

This is by far the best creature to do the Yeti Cave in. It has a little quirk where wild dinos don’t aggro on it
