Arthropleura was a massive myriapod that lived in Scotland during Carboniferous period. It had two fangs to protect itself. Decomposing plants have been found in its stomach, confirming the fact that it was a herbivore.

Millipedes were among the first animals to walk on Earth. They took their first steps at least 428 million years ago, venturing onto land to eat the few simple, moss-like land plants that existed back then.
