Step 1 use a flyer pt or baryonx

Step 2 bring tranq arrows or darts (ascend or mastercraft crossbow is best)

Step 3 make a trap with 3 stone gates and 2 doors

Step 4 shoot it till it’s knocked out

Step 5 give it prime or prime fish meat or (reguler if you don’t have both)

Step 6 bring naracotics just in case

And you have a argy slap a saddle on that boi and done

In REALLY useful when it comes to Rex taming so if you want me to do rex 20 likes pls

1. Craft slingshot/tranq arrows + bow (11)

2. Find argy and lure away from other argys

3. Shoot it until falls

4. Put meat in inventory

5. Also (opt.) bio toxin, narcotics, or narcoberries (bio toxin most efficient) for if it might wake up

6. Name him/her something

7. (Opt.) Get saddle (lvl 63) from engrams or free gift or supply crate

8. Use it to kill your friend

Use it to get dire wolf (or another one, rip Winter) (died to stupid alpha raptor, killed it at the same time)

If u r a ok tribe just have something with about 2.5k health (depending on the lvl or the argy) sit is a area then let the argy attack it while shooting it this is your best bet if u dont have a cage. I did this with a 150 argen.

I saw this YouTuber make a trap with one foundation, with double doorways placed two high on every side topped with a ceiling. Just make sure before the argy gets in you need to have only six or seven of the doorways placed so the big bird can get in. Once it’s in, place the last doorways and it will be trapped. Hope this is helpful.

Just shoot tranq arrowns and wait until its unconscious And tame it with a yummy bronto kibbl3 or a delicious meat.(if ur on mobile just have a soothing balm and its tamed faster)

First step have 50 tranq darts and long neck. If taming RG level 20 through 50. Step 2 make sure the area is safe with no Baddies. Have soothing bomb. Step 3 have five prime meat. Make a saddle and ride.

Enjoy your RG quick tip they have 50% reduction to metal Stone and obsidian. Please up if helpful.

If you want to tame a Argy and you’re at the volcano, then you can lure the Argy that you want to tame to in the volcano and when it lands just shoot it with tranq arrows or something. This is how I tried to tame my first Argy and it succeeded. But! This is in Mobile, the volcano might be different in Xbox or others.

Fun fact: If you take an Argy while it's rapid regeneration is active, it takes instantly(happened with me)...

Every one says you need the Dino doors, You DONT it’s SO easy al you have to do is kill something Agro the Argie the lead it to the body let it eat the body then tranq the fart out of it and then feed it meat no Prime required! Then you have an Argentavis and they are super helpful they can carry dinos and fly long distance and they do good damage I HIGHLY recommend getting one, unless you plan on breeding however then get a male and female and the put on wander. Sorry this was so long I hope I helped y’all!

Best method in my opinion:

Get a flyer such a pterodon but a tappy would be better.

Get a decent crossbow or a primitive longneck. Shoot with tranqs and feed food if your choice

MOBILE Argy trap (also works for ROYAL griffin, tested on both):

Takes 4 stone gate frames, one reinforced gate, and 3 stone pillars. Pick a spot that is flat and also away from any predators, including compy and dilo. Face going the same way you plan to fly them in, so that gate opens in. Place first frame then slowly walk forward until the frame isn't snapping at weird angles and place it, this gets the spacing right. After placing 4th frame, put pillar right in the middle of it, then stack the other 2. Now walk backwards until you can place the gate in the first frame, I place a torch out front a ways to locate more easily. You now have a perfect Argy trap.

Using pteranodon, agro the Argy then lead in low and slow, opening the gate when you reach it. Pteranodon can slip right through but Argy cannot. Land and hop off, while Argy stays agro on your mount, run back and close the gate.

For taming, shoot with tranqs to partially torpor, sleep, then KO, balm, and rapid tame with raw prime meat (stego is my goto).

Here's a budget way of taming an Argy: You'll be needing 4 stone pillars, 3 stone roofs, 3 stone fence foundations and 3 stone doorframes.

To make the trap, first start by placing a pillar, then snap another next to it, after that, place 1 pillar each. Secondly, place 1 fence foundation at both sides, this should make it have a square-type shape. Next, place the last fence foundation at the middle-end at the side of the fence foundations. This will be where you lure the Argy in. Then, place the 2 doorframes at the 2 fence foundations at the side. After that, place 3 roofs in a L-shape facing outwards covering the trap ceiling.

Lure the desired Argy into the trap and place the last doorframe.

When luring into a pen the pelagornis is better than the pteranodon because it can fly longer and it's slightly slower speed helps prevent the argy from losing aggro. It may be a good idea to keep a carbonemys or something in the trap to keep the argent occupied while you close the gate.

Run around in circles while shooting cause they can't turn in a 360 degree circle easily

To trap team do three or four dinosaur gates in a row close to each other and at the end to place the doors to the gates

Fun fact: If you have an ascendant 305.4dmg crossbow it take four tranq arrows for a lvl 140

I tamed a level 20 by accidentally starve taming it. I had shot it with all the tranqs needed, but I was running, so by the time it went out it was on top of a big rock, forcing me to build a that structure and a ton of ladder up to it. Lol it tamed real fast once I got to it because I had a vulture filled with mutton on follow.

Bring it a dead animals, as then wild or tamed their food bar will start to drain. Knocking it out then after it has eaten something and still has the healing effect. They will have 0 food and will take very quick

I personally prefer travelling to the mosh pit (On the western coast) and they are so easy to tame! You only need a crossbow and tranq arrows but if they are a higher level I’d recommend building a cage so that the don’t fly away where you can’t reach them (unless you are using tranq darts and a longneck). Kentros, Hynaedons and other argents spawn here so I kill them for their prime meat and throw it into the argent! Enjoy your new argentavis!

If you want to tame one of these do the steps

1. Find a nice level you want to tame

2. Place 3 behemoth doors with no escape

3. Shoot with rifle

4. Place the door when it is inside the trap

5. Knock to out

6. Feed prime meat

7. Enjoy your new argy
