If you have one of these get a raft, build a taming pen on top and a space for landing and you have yourself a good portable taming base for anything it can pick up. I've tamed loads with this. It's easier than flying all the way to base or making several taming pens at different locations.

For ark mobile: traps are not required for low levelled argies, just keep a friend or two with you and tranq it when it's attacking you, using toxicant arrows is better, it will go down in just 4-5 toxicant arrows.

If you are taming one and it is trapped in dino gateways, I would recommend killing another dino and let the argy harvest the body. It will get the rapid regen buff and that also uses there food stat very quickly. So do this if you want it to tame a little bit faster.

Catch them in an argentavis trap. Get a magnifying glass. Shoot them with narc arrows until it is just about to go unconscious (Use the magnifying glass to inspect the torpor) feed the argentavis a body. Imediately after it consumes the body shoot it with narc arrows to finish knocking it out (*if it does not have the green effect around it's head do not knock it out! If the effect is gone feed it another body) Purpose when the argentavis gets knocked out with the effect his hunger will already by very low. Super fast taming!

I found mine stuck in a rock so I shot it with tranqs with a crossbow in the head then broke the rock..so yeah

Hi! It's astro again, leaving tips on dinos that you may want to tame.

The easy way on taming an argy/Agrentavis is to build a trap with dinosaur gates (Mostly stone regular dinosaur gates, not behemoth.) You place the gates in a row leaving you enough space to run out of the side. you put 2 doors on either side of the trap !!NOT ALL THE GATES. JUTS THE 2 ON THE ENDS!!, You will open the side with the argy, and keep the other side closed. You agro the argy, and run into the trap, and as it follows you, you're going to run out in one of the side cracks, loop around to the open door, and shut it.

Then you tranq the argy and hope for it to knock out. Then you feed it Prime meat, raw meat, mutton, or kibble (best ones)

If you run out of tranq arrows, do not panic, the argentavis' torpor is very low and will not drain a lot. Go back to your base, make more, the go back and keep tranqing. If your base is far away, ask a friend to keep come over with arrows and bring them to you.

Why is the argy good? Whats its purpose?

Well the argy is very good for carrying items. It has a reduced weight thing with stone, metal, metal ingots, and more. It will split it in half, making the difference by carrying twice as more to your base than needed

They are a absolute pain to take if your getting a high level one but it is worth it. A level 200 argie can easily take on a Rex

Make the argy Agro to you and be on top a mountain/hill jump of the hill with the argy Agro to you, shoot in the head and it should get knocked out if you hit enough head shots

Don’t tame this thing while it flies over the forest.. Its unconscious body will be mauled by 10 raptors

One of the most easiest tames ever. Tranq them prime meat or kibble slap that soothing balm (if a high level) ta daa!!! Say hello to your new argentavis. It's so easy a ran on foot and knocked it out aim for the head they do bonus torpor.

How to tame an argy. What you'll need: narcotics, biotoxen, or narcoberry, fur armor (for if your tameing in tundra), tranq darts (or arrows for bow), long neck rifle,

Sanguine elixir (optional), (if you want argy saddle), dino gates and gateframes (optional). Argy locations: carnivore island 🏝, the red peak, the volcano 🌋, like anywhere in the tundra, I think on Griffin Mt /fars peak,To tame argy: first craft long neck rifle or bow (not unless you have one already), next craft narcos for crafting tranq arrows and /or darts, next craft amount of tranq darts or arrows according to dododex, next craft dino gates and gate frames (optinal) ,then craft fur armor (for those who are tameing in tundra), if you ran out of narcos for keeping argy asleep 😴 then craft more, now your ready to tame your argy , first go to one of the locations i listed and find argy then build pen (optional)with dino gateframes in a line then place gates at both ends then open a gate (make sure that there is a gap between each gate so you can get in and out but argy can't) aggro argy and run into pen then the argy will be inside pen then close the door the argy cant escape then use darts (or arrows ) to knock out argy, once knocked out then give raw (or prime) meat to tame and feed the narcotics,biotoxen,or narcoberries regularly (id perfer biotoxen though)then just WAIT ✋️ ✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️ and eventually you'll get a argy. To tame without pen: just knockout with darts or arrow and give meat 🍖 and narcos regularly JUST WAITTTTTTTTTT✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️

So heres quick taming method on ark mobile you need 3 dino gateways and 2 dino gates put them in front of each other in a row and make a little place in beetwen for you or your tame to get out of that little place after you set up these thing lure the argy in there and close the gate you dont need kibble or prime meat(you can use them for extra fast tame) after you lure in the argy you have to shoot a few tranq arrows or darts(for fast tame)after torpor is half way full you put bed next to trap and sleep after you wake up knock out argy and put meat,mutton,prime meat, ect. And it will tame under 3 minutes you won't even need narcos or bio

It’s a good strat tho

Spawn on volcano near the snoe biome on the island. Bring a friend to trank and tapejara with saddle. Have friend use front passenger seat and face the argy and back up while they tranq, then feed meat.

For instant tame just let it harvest a creature when it nearly falls asleep. Then knock it out, I tamed my first one of the server I am playing in, it took me a while ngl. But it was worth it since it exceeded the max level.

If you are willing to tame an Argentavis do not keep on shooting it with darts or tranqs otherwise it will die. So shoot it and wait about 5 seconds before shooting it again to prevent it from dying. Do not tame an Argentavis on Carnivore Island as it will get eaten.

The way I got my Argentavis was by / walking away from it not too far and not too close\ and when it isn’t over the water I shoot tranquilizers at it with a long neck rifle and try too shoot it at the head or anywhere in the head. I prefer armor just in case it does attack

Shoot the agry with narco arrows, then when it trys to fly away put a dead body or animal and let it eat it. Then nock it out if u do this the taming will go by faster and your arggy will be a better level too! I hope this helped! :)

Argentavis, a must have mid-game tame. Tamed easily with a Pteranodon this way:

Agro it with your Pteranodon (You CAN use a low level ptera but I recommend at least a level 50) get away from it dismount your Pteranodon shoot it and get away with your Pteranodon, repeat until the Argentavis starts geting away from you or you knock it out. When it starts geting away just follow it and knock it out. You can ise crossbows for lower levels but for higher levels you should use a longneck rofle with tranq darts of course. For low levels raw meat is enough, but for higher levels you still can use raw meat instead of raw prime meat but you will need more narcotics and you will need more time and it will have less levels. For accurate amount of narcotics and food you need use this awesome app of course. Hope this helped anyone tame this must have giant vulture.
