Taming one wont be easy because they can kill your creature but also go higher up in the air. So have a dino who you can shot from and kibble or meat.

Just tamed a 119 female in the redwoods of Valguero. Used the doorframe taming technique and a nice flat spot off the mountain where the sabretooths and argys are at. Raw mutton is the best way aside from simple kibs if you dont have the eggs yet. Very slow to the chase so an easy capture. I used 30 tranq darts, some getting caught on the stone. Very excited for this tame because of its utility. Now i can get other rad tames like dires or terror birds.

I tamed my Argy with tranq darts.

Fire once.

As it circles around you get on the inside of its flight path.

Keep shooting as it spins around.

Done right, the Argy can't turn fast enough to hit you.

As it turns to run, just follow and shoot.

Boom: Argy.

If you play solo you can exit to the main menu of the game to force save.

Works like a charm.

Be careful when taming them on mountains because I found a level 27 that I wanted to tame(I am playing easy mode) when I went to get prime meat I found sabers close by and the argent was murderered by the sabers and I got pissed because that was the only high level I found and I wanted to tame a giga with it?but it got murderered by the sabers.So be careful when taming them on mountains watch out of scorpions,sabertooths and gigas

They are great early tames, because they can carry over 500 pounds at level 60, they have a lot of steam, and they can pick up other small tames. They also have a smithy built into their saddle, allowing you to build and repair on the fly. The easiest way to tame takes 2 people, so I will describe that one first one person flies a pteranodon, while carrying another person in said pteranodon's talons. When you find an argy, get into its agro range. This is the hard part. The person being carried must shoot the argy, but can only do so without hitting the pteranodon when the pteranodon is flying straight up. The argy will follow the pteranodon straight up, and the person on the bottom can shoot it with a crossbow (seggested) or longneck or whatever. Argies usually com in twos, threes, or even fours, but this is an advantage to you. Kill the other argy/argies, and harvest them with your pteranodon. They will likely drop prime meat, and this will quickly tame the first argy. up 4 another.

If you have flyers disabled in genesis. Forcetame them even if there already tamed so that you can fly. Trust me it works. Up .this so people see

4 dino gate box + 4 pillars with ceilings 9n top + fence foundation with 3 doorways stacked. Leave the gate open on the side with the door plus Leave one other gate open. Lure it with ptera or whatever then loose agro then shoot it with a tranq and run through the open gate and when it gets in trap run out the doorways and close the other gate fast.

Ok so I use Pt to tame these I don’t use a trap I let the birds hit my pt and then knock them out that way works fine for me upgrade speed and stamina little health one of the best flyers happy hunting

Build a birdcage trap with 5 stone dino gateways, and two reinforced gates. Just lead it in tere and close the doors and tame!

1. Tame ptera or pelagornis ( better ptera)

2. Go to volcan

3. Try to find a high level one around the volcan using your spy glass

4. Go to the argentavis ( make sure only him that is following you not a pack)

5. Try to fly slowly to the volcan and make sure he is still following you (in case he isn't attack him but make sure you damage him only a little so he don't die or run away )

6. Land on the top of the volcan where there are metal .... So nothing there stops you

7. Dismount your flyer and start shouting the Argy with tranq ( shoot him them go below him and shoot him again while he is trying to turn and attack you

8. When you knock it out remote your soothing balm for faster and easier taming and put in his inventory stego kibble ( If you don't have them use raw prime meat or raw meat )

9. If you are in hard mode keep feeding him narcotics or bio toxins so he stays sleeping and if you are in med then it will be more easy BC u will not need much narcotics .and if you are in easy mode just use stego kibble and soothing balm and it will be tamed automatically . Or use raw meat and it will be tamed from the first meat

I recently tamed a female lvl ten Argy and for some reason it only took around 5-10 seconds to tame up? Maybe the taming calc needs updated?

If you want to tame one of these you should definitely bring tranq arrows

U can tame up to a level 20 on foot because they don’t do that much damage u can use a crossbow with trans takes about 8 until it starts flying away but the best thing to use when on foot is a longneck with darts because they are more accurate

Make a simple tarp out of 3-5 dino gates spaced apart as so the large can't fit through but a player can, place a gate at either end, lure an large in with either a pteranodon or just yourself and get someone else to shut the door, simply shoot tranqs through the gaps until its knocked out, and have fun with your knocked out arge 😁
