Be the G.O.A.T:

1. Find mastercraft or better longneck blueprint and build

2. Make shocking Tranq darts

3. Head to the mountains

4. Find lvl 150

I recommend having a gun and some tranq darts to try to get these guys but they are amazing when you do get one

I used tranq darts and it 2 shot it so I would suggest that too

What I do is make a plot for citronal as soon as I get the level to craft. Then make Fertilizer, I also tame a female stego for the egg drop. I tamed a high level Argy in just 3 hrs of playing. Goodluck getting the saddle as it’s around the lvl 60’s.

If you are a newbie and play on mobile and don't know where you can find an argentavis i just want you to know that there are many on an island that's on the left side of the map, right under the snow biome.

To put one to sleep i recommend to use dinosaur gate frames to make a cage and lure it inside so that it can't attack you while you're using your bow or crossbow to put the Argi to sleep.

I have some few tips to tame an argentavis

First of lets prepared the food ur gonna need from most effective to least effective

Stegosaurus kibble/mobile

Raw mutton

Raw prime meat

Raw prime fish meat

Cooked prime meat

And coocked prime meat

I only reccomend using the kibble or the raw prime meat it wouldnt to have cooked prime meat just incase. Argentavis can be found at mountains and snow biomes, to tame this ur gonna need to build atleast 5 stone dinosar gate way, then lure the argentavis to the stone gateway and close the door before the argy escape, then shoot it with tanq darts or trang arrow as pleasure until its knocked, the second one is a little bit dangerous ur kinda wanna need a mount that can run fast tankie and mount that u can use weapons such as raptor equus or baronyx. Shoot it until its knocked out, the item that im reccomending to maintain its torpor is bio toxin or narcotics. Make sure u maintain its torpor so it dosent wake up until its tamed!

Now for the bonus info. Argentavis saddle can be unlocked at level 62, argentavis is a scavenger means they will only go for a dead animals body....the argy can also heal when u ride it to dead body and it will gain rapid regeneration

Insanely easy tame with a ptera! No traps needed. Just tranq the argy and fly a decent distance. Rinse repeat as it follows you. I do this all the time.

Find a safe taming spot within render distance. Shoot your desired argentavis once with a pistol with a scope attached. It'll head straight for you so be ready with a harpoon launcher and net projectile. When in range, shoot with the net and knock it out with tranquilizers of your choice. If its high level and the the net is going to wear off before knockout, toss a tent over it and continue with the tranquilizers.

Unfortunately the rapid regen glitch that let you tame them super fast seems to have been patched so unless youve got very boosted settings use nothing worse than prime.

If you wanna tame it fast(in seconds) you need to trap one, put a sleeping bag near, die and respawn in this bag, feed your corpse to the birb and knock it out.

It's hunger will drain to 0, put some meat and observe

Tame 1 meat raw not much

2 let starve when nocked out

3 feed

4 sec 3- 18 for bird

Easy to tame, steps:

1) Bring a knockout weapon (I like to use a crossbow) and tranqs (around 20-30) and taming food (meat or their kibble)

2) Find one, they are common on all the mountains on The Island

3) Doesn’t really matter what level, as they are all easy to tame, so just find the highest level

4) Aggro it by shooting it with your tranqs

5) It will start chasing you, but it’s slow, so just run, shoot, run, shoot until it gets knocked out

6) Give it its food (meat or their kibble) and Voila! No narcotics needed, and you just got yourself a big eagle that is great for storing metal and moving it around!

As a side note, if you knock them out while they’re regening after eating a corpse, it’s food drops very low, and will eat all of the taming food at once, causing an instant tame!

2 reinforced wooden Dino gates

Put them in a row and put the doors at the ends

Shoot with a tranq arrow

Lure it over to the trap and get through

Squeeze out the gaps inside

Close the door

Shoot it with tranq arrows

Real beach bobs knock it out with boomerang and feed it meat jerky 😁

To tame an argentavis you first must construct 3 stone gateways and 2 stone gates to build a trap, after well just knock it out!

If you have access to a net gun use it on a argy

An easy way to tame an argie without using a trap is to agro it with your darts/tranq arrows and keep it interested in you, dodging it’s attacks. After you have shot about 1/2 of the tranqs needed into it, use a net with the harpoon gun to net it and prevent it from going into run mode. From there you can finish knocking it out with ease.
