Get it in a cage find a near by animal to kill drag the body over to the argie and knock it out while it has the green buff on its head it will knock out with 0 food and instantly tame. It’s advised to shoot it before you feed it the body or have help from a friend considering the green buff on their head is only a couple seconds long but definitely worth the effort

These guys are really easy to find just go to very high terrain

These guys are the most useful and the most annoying creatures in the mobile version. I’ve tamed a few of them, you just need a few tranq arrows and plenty of meat. They’re most common in the northern half of the map but if you don’t enjoy freezing to death go to carno inland (the desolate chunk of rock in the north east corner of the map where nubs go to die) where there’ll probably be a few low level argys (that short for argentavis) flapping around. Just shoot one full of tranq arrows somewhere away from the usual carnage found in places on carno island. If you can’t get one to come at you kill something, a sabertooth should do the trick, and an argy should try to eat it, (and yes, the pesky vultures can and will try to steal your kills) they can smell corpses from far away. Hit /\ so nubs see. This is for the mobile version, made by choptamer. You can find me on the official server weathertop, unless you have a present for me stay away.

To tame just use a crossbow and keep shooting while having a friend agro it to you while shooting feed it raw meat and. Done

I tamed my first 160lvl argy inside a spike wall hedge. Then quickly ogled it up to lvl206 by “finding” knowledge notes while Mounted

You dont need a trap to Tame It. I tamed It on mobile with muy tapejara.

Tbh, i tamed 12 argy by using at least 20 tranq arrows and a crossbow, a flyer, put it on passive, and let em attack the flyer. I reccomend using around 50 tranqs [if on 150, the medium hardcore] or 25 [For 30, the easier hardcore] I also reccomend using cooked meat like raw prime or cooked prime b/c it works better than normal raw meats

Time:

Mininum Level 50 - 19 minutes 12 seconds

Maximum Level 200 - 53 minutes 43 seconds

Build a trap near them and lure them into it, then tranquilice them and tame with meat/prime

Do not try to bola it is a bad idea I mean a very bad idea

Pretty easy tame you need:

Pteradon

4 wooden dino walls

2 wooden dino gates

Kibble or prime meat (if not them meat)

Tranq arrows or darts

Narcotics

Method:

Go to fars peak

Make a trap at the beach below the mountain

Trap should be 4 dino walls line dis | | | |

And the 2 gates should be at either end.

Open one end and make sure your pteranodon can find through the sides but an argy cant

Find an argy and lead it into the trap (don’t worry, argys r slow)

When it’s in, close both gates.

Land ur pteranodon outside the trap and shoot it with tranq arrows.

When it’s knocked out fed it (for a level 2 prime meat does 30%)

Take ur pteradon to pick up any dilos or kill any threats

The torpor is pretty low so check up every now and then to check

After around 5-10 minutes

You have tamed an Argy!

I recommend having a gun and some tranq darts to try to get these guys but they are amazing when you do get one

I used tranq darts and it 2 shot it so I would suggest that too

What I do is make a plot for citronal as soon as I get the level to craft. Then make Fertilizer, I also tame a female stego for the egg drop. I tamed a high level Argy in just 3 hrs of playing. Goodluck getting the saddle as it’s around the lvl 60’s.

If you are a newbie and play on mobile and don't know where you can find an argentavis i just want you to know that there are many on an island that's on the left side of the map, right under the snow biome.

To put one to sleep i recommend to use dinosaur gate frames to make a cage and lure it inside so that it can't attack you while you're using your bow or crossbow to put the Argi to sleep.

I have some few tips to tame an argentavis

First of lets prepared the food ur gonna need from most effective to least effective

Stegosaurus kibble/mobile

Raw mutton

Raw prime meat

Raw prime fish meat

Cooked prime meat

And coocked prime meat

I only reccomend using the kibble or the raw prime meat it wouldnt to have cooked prime meat just incase. Argentavis can be found at mountains and snow biomes, to tame this ur gonna need to build atleast 5 stone dinosar gate way, then lure the argentavis to the stone gateway and close the door before the argy escape, then shoot it with tanq darts or trang arrow as pleasure until its knocked, the second one is a little bit dangerous ur kinda wanna need a mount that can run fast tankie and mount that u can use weapons such as raptor equus or baronyx. Shoot it until its knocked out, the item that im reccomending to maintain its torpor is bio toxin or narcotics. Make sure u maintain its torpor so it dosent wake up until its tamed!

Now for the bonus info. Argentavis saddle can be unlocked at level 62, argentavis is a scavenger means they will only go for a dead animals body....the argy can also heal when u ride it to dead body and it will gain rapid regeneration
