Very quick way to tame these is you get them trapped start shooting them in the head with tranqs for 3x torpor then when the reach 75% torpor the will try to fly away that’s when you kill as small Dino like a dodo hold it under the argentavis until it’s torpor drains just past 75% then it will attack you harvest the dead Dino and then as fast as you can fire as many tranqs into it (helps if you have a friend or a good crossbow or longneck for high levels) and if you can knock it out with it’s healing buff still active it’s good will Dorian very fast for a quick tame.

Knocking out while self healing gives you speed taming and same way also valid for Daedon.

Easy Tame for a useful tame.

Go near the winter obelisk, there's mostly high level argies in there just watch out for sabers and gigas. Kite one with your trusty ptera to the obelisk and start shooting it with toxitant arrow. Easy to knock out for it's slow and easy to shoot and run. Feed it. Easy.

To tame an argentavis, if your in mobile use stego kibble and if you have amber get 3x taming speed, and if PC still use an kibble for a very fast taming procces :)

You can make a cage to the argentavis and hit him one arrow only and make a bed and go to sleep when you woke up hit him until he fall down and you well get it's food is zero so it will tamed in a very small time.

I try this tips to tame argentavis level 157 with meat and he tamed in just 20 second

I suggest female Argys for eggs

Get argy no mount or yes mount open the front and lead it in go through the crack in between the gate ways and close the door

Just finished my first tame with 10-12 tranqs to the head. My mesopithecus came in super clutch, poo throws really helped me kite and allowed for super easy headshots. Used about five narcotics to keep him down.

Here’s how to get an argy fairly early on with a minimalistic trap:

Make a 1x1x2 trap with a (preferably stone, wood might survive but be careful) foundation, 8 doorframes and one hatchframe ceiling. Leave 2 doorframes out as an entrance and lead the argy into the trap. Quickly place the doorframes behind it by running up to the side of the trap and placing them. The argy will now be stuck and probably spin in place. Just stand close enough so it doesn’t do this and slingshot until it gets knocked out.

OK SO I just tamed my first argy (I’m lvl 58 so still kinda noobie) they really aren’t that hard to tame. I just used a crossbow w/ trank arrows and it fell quick. (Lvl 15 argy) While I fed it normal meet I killed some diplos for like 10 prime and it tamed within 5 minutes? Better then 30. Guys. Cmon. You don’t need any traps, ok? I tamed multiple Argies using this simple, simple method.

Pick out an Argy. Whether it be high or low. Then lure it to a safe place. Once you’ve lured it quickly run away from it so it looses interest in you, then wait for it to land. Make sure you have at least 50 tranq arrows or darts.The Torpor for these creatures varies between levels. And some Narcotics, just in case the one you’ve chosen happens to be a high level, but anyway, once they’ve landed get off your mount, if your on one, and go shoot it. It will begin to chase you, and they are fairly slow so out running them is a breeze, keep shooting until it’s knocked out, it’s okay if you get hit sometimes, they don’t do that much damage anyway, So for your taming food, I suggest using prime meat, it goes much quicker and does much more. You can harvest prime meat from Argentavis’. Just be Patient and protect your giant birb. And once it’s done, Congrats! You have a giant birb!

Funnily enough i tame this dino without any traps just with my crossbow trans.

Yes by running around from it while doing a 360° spinning tranq shots and taking sme dmge.

The Argentavis has a weight reduction of 50% for Black Pearls, Crystal, Metal, Metal Ingots, Obsidian, Organic Polymer, Polymer, and Stone, and its saddle acts as a mobile smithy. In terms of how to tame it, I'd recommend taming a Pteranodon and setting up a trap near the Argy you want to tame, as both of these will make taming the Argy MUCH easier.

A good trap is made with 4 stone dino gateways and 2 reinforced dino gates. Place 3 of the gateways close to each other in a straight line, making sure you can go through all 3 of them in a straight line, but place the 4th one a little farther away from the others. This is so your Pteranodon can fly through the gap, but make sure you only have enough space for your Pteranodon, as you don't want the Argy escaping. Once you've made sure your Ptera can fly through that small gap, place a reinforced dino gate on the front and rear gates. The front is the one that has two others behind it, and the rear gate is the one that's farther away from the others. Open up the front gate, mount your Pteranodon, and lead the Argy you want to tame into the trap, flying out of the gap you left. Then quickly land, get off your Ptera and close the front gate. Congrats! You've trapped an Argentavis! Now good luck taming it!
