Funnily enough i tame this dino without any traps just with my crossbow trans.

Yes by running around from it while doing a 360° spinning tranq shots and taking sme dmge.

The Argentavis has a weight reduction of 50% for Black Pearls, Crystal, Metal, Metal Ingots, Obsidian, Organic Polymer, Polymer, and Stone, and its saddle acts as a mobile smithy. In terms of how to tame it, I'd recommend taming a Pteranodon and setting up a trap near the Argy you want to tame, as both of these will make taming the Argy MUCH easier.

A good trap is made with 4 stone dino gateways and 2 reinforced dino gates. Place 3 of the gateways close to each other in a straight line, making sure you can go through all 3 of them in a straight line, but place the 4th one a little farther away from the others. This is so your Pteranodon can fly through the gap, but make sure you only have enough space for your Pteranodon, as you don't want the Argy escaping. Once you've made sure your Ptera can fly through that small gap, place a reinforced dino gate on the front and rear gates. The front is the one that has two others behind it, and the rear gate is the one that's farther away from the others. Open up the front gate, mount your Pteranodon, and lead the Argy you want to tame into the trap, flying out of the gap you left. Then quickly land, get off your Ptera and close the front gate. Congrats! You've trapped an Argentavis! Now good luck taming it!

Bird is very slow but will fly away from you after like 5 hits

If you wanna an argy use trank arrows if you manage to knock out the argy feed it prime meat kill other argys to get prime meat

You can tame a argy up to level 20 on foot they don’t do to much damage that’s how I got my argy but it is best if you use the darts because it is easier to hit while the start flying away

Just spent 40 minutes trying to K.O a level 135 with a crossbow and narc arrows.... it flew over water so I had to wait for it to land, shoot at it, then wait for it to land again..... etc

These bird are a good starting tame they have good stats for bobs and the best way to tame it at a low level make a trap so 5 Dino gateways and 2 gates you can find lots of videos on YouTube or if you want this bird at endgame you just need some shocking tranq darts and shoot it and it should knock out then feed it meat best for faster taming is prime meat or it perfected kibble is stego kibble like if this helped

I would recommend taming a male and female then breeding as this is the easiest way to gain a high stat or army if u wanted to but don't keep going out and taming em it can be hellish especially at dead island

Easy have your pt with good hp good enough to tank fly it into the volcano and ko it in the volcano works on mobile idk about on pc/console but it works and it’s safe.

If your a new player, trust me, these guys are way easier to tame than you think. Just build a trap and get plenty of narcotics - lure it in by getting it to follow you - but don’t get too close. And boom you have a a argy!

If you don’t have acces to a AC yet , just throw the egg on the ground inside your base at night/early morning. Temp between 8-14 celcius are perfect. Pick it up when it’s getting to hot in the late morning.

Because argy's spawn in spots with lots of predators, all you have to do is build a wooden spike wall around it when it's unconsious. Predators will get killed on the spike wall and won't harm your argy. I used this strategy with my gallimimus i was taming in the redwoods. I tamed it safely! You can use this with many diffrent creatures to protect them when they're unconsious. The bigger the creature, the more the walls. For an argy, i'd say around 6 walls. I once had knocked a therizino unconsious, and it was killed by dilos. If i had used spike walls, those dilos would have died! R.I.P therizino. Hope thos helped!

you don't need trap just tranq arrows and meat

You don't even need a trap for these guys. Just aggro one and shoot in the head and boom easy tame.

First I recommend tranq arrows not darts

2.knock out

3.don’t use meat use fish or prime meat

4. Boom tamed a great flyer

You knock it out then put meat in it. :^

When they get the green glow fast regen thing nock it out it will be starved for somereason

Once you get one of these bird attention QUICKLY place 5 or so stone/wood dinosaur gateways in a row, far enough where they don’t connect but close enough where they can’t get out. Place 2 doors, one of each end.

Get it’s attention again and while you’re running through the gateway, be QUICK to open and shut the gate while you manage to escape.

Once trapped and you get out, shoot with tranq arrow and feed raw meat, make sure u feed narco or bio toxin while taming
