Use your 4 stone gateways to trap this with 2 reinforced doors on each end. Then put a sleeping bag next to the trap and go to sleep.BEST AREA FOR TRAPPING IS ON TOP OF THE VOLCANO.

Wake up and knock it out.

It will attack the trap all night and lose all its food.

Put the food in and it will instantaneously start eating.

This works with anything that will attack the gates non stop. Doesn't work for animals that run after being hit. If it was helpful share this so that others can see this.

I tamed a couple of these pretty easily. I just shot with tranq arrows while an argy was circling me. Knock it out, and then tame with preferred choice of food (mine is prime meat, I’m too lazy for kibble). Then keep them safe, pump a few narcotics, and then bam. You got an argy. I bred the two females and the males, and 66% imprinted on the male baby and 100% on the female baby. The female’s movement speed is over 200% and I get around the entire island without having to land for stamina. Good luck 👍🏻

These guys are actually pretty easy to tame if you have the right equipment. When trying to capture one to tame I find the easiest way is just shooting them with a couple of tranq arrows (it takes less than 10 most of the time and they are pretty slow so you can sprint a bit ahead a shoot from there) another way is to bola them with a metal bola but you need a ballista turret and it takes a lot more recourses. Beforehand, you should probably already have a saddle made so once it’s tamed you can just ride it and not have to worry about getting killed on the way back to your base. Also, make sure you have some stego egg kibble to put in its inventory cause it’s fairly easy to tame if you do. One last thing you’ll also want to do is make a few spike walls to place around you and your mount while it’s taming especially if your in a dangerous area where your easily attacked. ( I’ve learned from experience) Good Luck!

To rame these You can go to carno Island (they spawn in High numbers there) with a trike,clear the area of any rex's ,carnos or pulmonoscorpions and knock one out and tame:)

Btw You can easely get to the Island by an ichtyosaurus

If you run out of tranq arrows but you have a equus just use the kick of the equus to knock it out it helps if you have some levels into damage two or four (levels) should be fine 🙂

If you’re taming one of these in the redwoods be carefull if you’re to close to it while its unconcious a raptor could jump on you and attack you and you’re argy

Soon I am going to tame an argy,and this is how,i am going to revive one and make a trap around the revive platform and shoot it with tranqs and..boom.

I tried a few times to tame one and it was a nightmare. Here is what happened:

-First I tried to get close with my ptera and it got attacked. It doesn't matter how powerfull your ptera is, an argy level 2 will kill it!

-After that I landed in a safe place, but when I shooted an argy, I got attacked by it AND a few "saberteeth". They cut me like a piece of paper!

-Long story short, I knocked an argy out but it got eated in front of me by those same angry cats!!

-I parked my ptera in a safe place (check). I climbed so the cat didn't catch me (check). I foud a good argy and tried to knock it out, but when I moved a bit to aim, I FELL FROM THE FORKING MOUNTAIN AND DIED!!!!!!

After a few days I tamed a spino and found it easier.

They are the best bird to tame for mid game. Just make an argie trap with four Dino gateways and two gates space them out a tiny bit, at least to be able to shoot a tranq arrow with a crossbow, spam tranqs til it gets knocked out.

How to insta tame first trap argy and look on Dododex and shoot it all times but the last then place sleeping bag die drag body to argy have argy eat body the tranq out put meat in it and boom you have a argy ——CaptainAwsomeD

How I tamed an Argent:

1. Shot it with tranq arrow to get its attention and to get its torpor up a bit.

2. When it follows me, I go the ground, then wait for it to get a little closer.

3. When it gets closer, shoot it with a bunch of tranq arrows ‘til it gets knocked out.

4. Gave Narcotics and fed it Stego Kibble.

So ez all u got to do is get crossbow and some tranq arrows no trap needed and knock it out.

MOST PEOPLE WILL RECOMMEND USING THREE STONE GATES AND TWO DOORS AS AN ARGY TRAP!

I also did tried it to trap a wild 300 lvl argy,but you know? I ended up getting killed by it.The thing is the door closes very slowly and creates time for the argy to escape.

So what you should do is make three stone gate,one door,three stone pillar

Place the three doors in a line , and don't place the door, instead put it on your hotbar.

Now at the last gate place the three pillars right at the center of it , this creates a gap for you to run and not an argy.

Now as usual, lure one into the trap,

Once you escape through the gaps between the pillars quickly run back and place it.

Placing a door is quicker than closing one that already got placed. I tamed the wild one using this trap. It's very effective.

And don't forget to test it before trying.

Stay away from all the stuff that you can eat you

The Argy is not just an amazing beginning tame, but also a mid and end game tame. Even after you get tekgrams(blueprints after you kill bosses) or even if you have tek, you will still use them. They are the best for PvP because they are slow, but they reduce metal, crystal, stone, and obsidian by half and if you have an Anky(spike ball tail dino) it will also reduce the metal by 50%. That's why you see people using these two dinos together because the weight after you pick up the anky will be 25% of the actual weight. Here's a tip, just use 3 to 4 stone gates and two gate doors( don't use behemoth) to trap it with tranqs or darts. If you don't want to wait for it to starve before you tame then when it runs away or is high torpor drag a dead body, player, dino whatever and let it eat it. Knock it out before the green glow disappears and it'll have almost 0 food. Have a great day.

Best to do a 3x3 stone foundation and 81 normal stone door frames make sure the door frames are 3 high and just make a normal stone dino gateway and some gates. Keep it distracted with a dodo in the cage so you can close the door. I recommend using bio toxin if you live near or in the beach since narcotics are really important for tranqs. Monitor the argy always. You can get a female and male to reduce your struggles in taming more. Just mate them. PS: Argies are great for taming the giant bigfoot things since they can pick it up. Mobile player here just got another baby argy

Very quick way to tame these is you get them trapped start shooting them in the head with tranqs for 3x torpor then when the reach 75% torpor the will try to fly away that’s when you kill as small Dino like a dodo hold it under the argentavis until it’s torpor drains just past 75% then it will attack you harvest the dead Dino and then as fast as you can fire as many tranqs into it (helps if you have a friend or a good crossbow or longneck for high levels) and if you can knock it out with it’s healing buff still active it’s good will Dorian very fast for a quick tame.
