It’s pritty easy just get 6-40 tranq arrows and a couple a couple ptardon I used on and don’t forget narcotics to feed when it’s getting closer to wakeing up and 2-3 stacks of meat and bring the saddle for it with you(if you don’t have a saddle for it ride the ptardon back and put it on follow) and get off the ptardon and tranq it feed it meat and narcotic.

Bring. Narcotics,tranq arrows, meat, arge saddle.

They are the PERFECT mid game tame. High weight and good attacker. No wonder they are what servers give away. How you tame is get your tranqs and shoot from afar. When unconscious feed prime meat. Btw other archys can drop prime meat. Feed until tame and vola! A good tame

When the argy is almost knocked out (like before it runs away)

Kill small Dino (raptor, dodo, etc.) and drag body to arge, the arge will eat it and gain the health buff thing and it’s food will rapidly decrease, this helps with tame time!

I also go to carnivore island to tame because of all the raw prime and arge

Find a healing one knock it out and feed it and a glitch will happen

And it go really fast

I recommend making a trap with dinosaur gates, for the high level ones. I tamed a 130 like this

Build a trap don't mess around running and shooting

Heres a few tips about the argentavis:

1-If they eat any corpse, they will start rapidly gaining health.

2-They have a 50% weight reducement(is that a word lol) on metal ore, crystal or obsidian.

3-They can carry medium sized creatures, like an anky, raptor, or parasaur.

4-You can use these guys to farm metal with an anky, grab an anky with the argy and bring it to a location with lots of metal and start farming that metal with your anky.

If you have one of these get a raft, build a taming pen on top and a space for landing and you have yourself a good portable taming base for anything it can pick up. I've tamed loads with this. It's easier than flying all the way to base or making several taming pens at different locations.

To tame this big bird, you need a couple of dino gates for a trap, alot of tranq darts/arrows, longneck rifle, and some prime meat or kibble if you have any. if this helped click the arrow on the bottom left of this text that is pointing up 👆

I don't have to tell how good transporter they are but one advice for taming, make sure to keep dead dino nearby so it have its healing effect on while you shooting tranq, if it knocks out while in healing state, it will have less chance of dying and will have almost half food bar empty for quick feeding

Shoot it twice with a trang, then feed it a dead body of any type. Once the argy eats the body. Knock it out as fast as possible. Once it hits the ground put 3 stacks of raw meat in it. Then wait 1 minute. And you tamed yourself an argy

Needs 20 kibble not 19. I used 19 kib and 2 prime meat and it came out to be a 198.

If you are a new player and are not sure if you want to tame one read this

Its a must have flier its not very fast but is pretty strong and can carry A LOT

It also has reduced weight on some stuff so it can carry even more

And they are pretty easy to tame by just luring them in a simple and cheap trap for which you can find a tutorial on youtube

When taming will fast tame when in fast regeneration mode, fancy plus signs floating around them

It only takes 3 raw prime meat to tame a level 1 argy, but i recommend bringing more just in case

I don’t use any trap I just shoot it out from the sky

When taming an argy, the easiest way is to try to get it to activate its “regeneration” buff on a dead animal. This will drain its food and make taming extremely fast and easy once it’s knocked out.

Use your 4 stone gateways to trap this with 2 reinforced doors on each end. Then put a sleeping bag next to the trap and go to sleep.BEST AREA FOR TRAPPING IS ON TOP OF THE VOLCANO.

Wake up and knock it out.

It will attack the trap all night and lose all its food.

Put the food in and it will instantaneously start eating.

This works with anything that will attack the gates non stop. Doesn't work for animals that run after being hit. If it was helpful share this so that others can see this.

I tamed a couple of these pretty easily. I just shot with tranq arrows while an argy was circling me. Knock it out, and then tame with preferred choice of food (mine is prime meat, I’m too lazy for kibble). Then keep them safe, pump a few narcotics, and then bam. You got an argy. I bred the two females and the males, and 66% imprinted on the male baby and 100% on the female baby. The female’s movement speed is over 200% and I get around the entire island without having to land for stamina. Good luck 👍🏻

These guys are actually pretty easy to tame if you have the right equipment. When trying to capture one to tame I find the easiest way is just shooting them with a couple of tranq arrows (it takes less than 10 most of the time and they are pretty slow so you can sprint a bit ahead a shoot from there) another way is to bola them with a metal bola but you need a ballista turret and it takes a lot more recourses. Beforehand, you should probably already have a saddle made so once it’s tamed you can just ride it and not have to worry about getting killed on the way back to your base. Also, make sure you have some stego egg kibble to put in its inventory cause it’s fairly easy to tame if you do. One last thing you’ll also want to do is make a few spike walls to place around you and your mount while it’s taming especially if your in a dangerous area where your easily attacked. ( I’ve learned from experience) Good Luck!
