I had a level 230 Argy named Qrow. He and I would travel the skies together, he was my favorite... Until the one day when I was building him a special home. He watched me build it, but one night he was massacred by a wretched Theriz. Needless to say, I got revenge. Now he has a shrine. RIP Qrow.

Best way... build a cage with a Dino gate and lure it in and you can tranq and tame it in peace

Wild card, we NEED an upgradeable movement speed stat on these guys. I love my argy, but he is soooooo slow.

Due to the update in april, 2017, speed is no longer an option. It is more useful to use a pteranodon to obtain a wyvern egg because they are faster.

When taming be careful when using tranq arrows because you can easily kill the argy. Wait several seconds between shots

Had a level 30 one unconscious in my easy single player game!

Tame by tranq arrows, fed raw meat.

When equipped a saddle it becomes a smithy 😱😂

Kill any dino nearby him, it will go to eat the body, then tranq him when health boost, it will be with 0 food, hope this help you😁

Looking for the safest way to tame an Argy in the Redwoods? Here's your guide!

Step 1, grab a Pteranodon and fly over to the Red Peak.

Step 2, set up a little camp and build your trap, I used the 5 stone gateframes and the reinforced gates with a bit of space between each

Step 3, find your Argy

Step 4, lead them to the trap

Step 5, hover at the entrance and wait for them to be right behind you

Step 6, fly in

Step 7, the Argy should be in there, and if you have any other tames, aggro onto your other tames until the gate starts to close

Step 8, close the gate

Step 9, knock it out, or do the starve feeding glitch

Step 10, give it any meat, raw meat gives about 10% per feeding so it's not that bad

Step 11, wait for a bit

Step 12, name your new Argy!

Run or walk around in a circle and they will not be able to hit you, easy way to kill or tame.

I usually bring at least 30 tranq arrows and a crossbow, then I make a trap using 4 dinosaur gateways an two gates, works pretty much every time for me.

I tame everything the old fashioned way...

Shooting them until they inevitably fall asleep and force-feed them until they love me :)

An argentavis can't fit through a ceiling with one tile missing, but a pteranadon or lymantria can. Build a trap with one corner ceiling missing, aggro the argentavis, fly in one side and out the missing ceiling tile, and land. Dismount, run around, and close the entry door. Tame safely at your leisure.

The Argentavis is the bully of the sky. It is find on every map, but Abbreviation (I probably misspelled that). It is recognizable by it’s giant eagle structure, while it’s a giant vulture. It comes in pretty colors, but don’t be fooled, it will think your a McDonald advertisement Big Mac. Once tamed, it was but one of your most useful mounts. It has great energy and can kill medium dinos with ease. It also regains health fast if it eats a corpse, which make it a great battle bird. Not to mention the fact it can carry medium dinos in it’s talon and small ones in it’s beak. If you want to tame one, it was be worth your time.

HOW TO TAME

You will need: 5 wooden/stone dinosaur gateways, 2 wooden/stone dinosaur gateway doors, 1 crossbow/longneck, Tranq arrows/darts, and taming food (Mutton is recommended)

Pre-make the trap by spacing the gateways in a way so you can get out but the argy can’t. Add the doors.

I will be referring to the island for locations

First, go to the volcano and find the argy you desire

Second, get it’s attention by shooting it

Third, make it follow you into the trap

Fourth, shut the doors

Lastly, Knock it out and feed it the taming food

Havent played in ark since flyer nerf, last time I saw the argy it was just a cheaper and expendable, worse but faster quetzal. Now it looks like a completely brand new creature, it looks so amazing now, and it has so useful again, and the fact that you regenerate stamina by eating corpse can make you fly forever. Truly a jack of all trades, I loved it before the nerf, now I love it again and I love it even more now

Forget all the things that they say right now use pteradons to steal wyvern eggs!

Who thinks there should be a creature that has a Tek replicator saddle but it’s more expensive
