Remember....you cannot pick alpha raptors.

i was literally going to tame one so i got my trap (5 wood dino door frames and 2 dino gates) and i was near 6 ARGIES! but i managed to get a female to chase me and it took multiple try’s but i finally got it in the trap and there were 2 rex’s near me (i’m level 55) and it was overall a very easy tame, kinda slow. but it’s okay. can carry some dino’s and honestly i use it for the weight. it helped me tame a few equus that were near a few alpha raptors and regular. definitely recommend

Find a healing one knock it out and feed it and a glitch will happen

Build a trap don't mess around running and shooting

If you have one of these get a raft, build a taming pen on top and a space for landing and you have yourself a good portable taming base for anything it can pick up. I've tamed loads with this. It's easier than flying all the way to base or making several taming pens at different locations.

I like to use a pt to tame these, if you use a pt you only need 1 stone foundation 3 stone walls a stone ramp and a stone door the pt will fly right through it as the argy is chasing you through it, it will get stuck on the double doorway wall which you want on the front and sides and before the argy flies out open the door on the side and boom its stuck. I typically make two of these traps to get a high level male and female then make air conditioners to start breeding only keeping the females until I have 1 male 7 females then pair that with the oviraptor and set them on mating to get eggs for superior kibble

Heres a few tips about the argentavis:

1-If they eat any corpse, they will start rapidly gaining health.

2-They have a 50% weight reducement(is that a word lol) on metal ore, crystal or obsidian.

3-They can carry medium sized creatures, like an anky, raptor, or parasaur.

4-You can use these guys to farm metal with an anky, grab an anky with the argy and bring it to a location with lots of metal and start farming that metal with your anky.

They are the PERFECT mid game tame. High weight and good attacker. No wonder they are what servers give away. How you tame is get your tranqs and shoot from afar. When unconscious feed prime meat. Btw other archys can drop prime meat. Feed until tame and vola! A good tame

Argentavis are flying pack mules. They have good stamina and don't get shredded into tiny pieces by everything like pteras, they have good weight for a flyer and lots of weight reductions, they can carry dinos as big as a baryonyx and their saddle is a mobile smithy.

They are the absolute best Resource gatherers. Tame a anky pick it up with your argy and go straight to metal mountain. You’ll have industrial stuff in no time.

In no specific order of taming, except argy comes first cuz its a flyer and gets you around map cuz of its good stam and weight

Shoot it twice with a trang, then feed it a dead body of any type. Once the argy eats the body. Knock it out as fast as possible. Once it hits the ground put 3 stacks of raw meat in it. Then wait 1 minute. And you tamed yourself an argy

Very good cargo tame. Can be used for combat if necessary. Gets a Rapid Regeneration buff for a bit after harvesting a body. Has weight reduction on valuable resources like obsidian, metal, and crystal by 50%. Don’t have one? Get one.

The thing is so easy to kill with a shotgun and pistol

If you want to hatch an argent but you dont have air conditioners, I recommend dropping the egg out at night and then pick it up when it hits daytime. Repeat the same process until the egg hatches (it may take a while, though).

A good spot for Argys on lost island are usually 44 35 hop this helps

If you are too scared of it dying while knocked out just lure it to an spot far from the mountains and have there an trap keep reaggroing it and trap it or if it's an low level just tranq it

Imprinting on an argy is op. I imprinted 90% (with a shorter cuddle. Interval timer) and it gave me an argy that does 200-400 damge and has a weight capacity of 1000

To tame this big bird, you need a couple of dino gates for a trap, alot of tranq darts/arrows, longneck rifle, and some prime meat or kibble if you have any. if this helped click the arrow on the bottom left of this text that is pointing up 👆
