Many people do not know that you can stop it’s gliding with (square for PS4) (X for Xbox) not sure what it is for PC, but then by pressing the same button again you’ll glide downward faster!

I’m posting a neat feature for each creature on the ark.

The arceopterix can be used as a living parachute and when set on wander in the red woods it will collect a lot of sap 7/10

If your on a flyer like a pt, you can dismount it in the air with a archaeopteryx and get back on the flyer and it will have full stamina. Make sure you dismount your flyer high up so it doesn't land and get killed

If you tame one to be a good parachute it is useful to note that you can't use tools or weapons while holding one.

Have someone air drop you on the mountain top. Mine as much metal/crystal as u can carry. Jump and float home.

This bird can only eat chitin before and after taming

R on pc makes you stop and descend!

In Mobile, bring a Equus then kick it in the face before it run/glide then boom insta knockout. Feed with chittin and watchout for torpidity it wakes really fast.

Put them in wander near redwood trees and they will gather sap for you.

The Archaeopteryx is a tree-dwelling bird-like dinosaur. While its smaller frame make it unfit for riding, it is strong enough to carry humans, allowing them to glide across long distances. On switch, to land fast press Y to start falling, while flying press Y to fly again to not take any fall damage.

I thought this was a funny useless tame until I got one on scorched earth. It is so fun and cool gliding over rexes and jumping off cliffs while being chased by baddies. My dear little Archie has saved me through and through.

You need a running start to gain momentum and speed while gliding, and the (X) button on xbox will start/stop gliding mid air. (Dunno the control for other platforms)

They live in the middle mountains of the red woods .

Can be used to solo the Tek Cave just by gliding over everything

These creatures happen to be one of the best ways to get around, if you know how to use them. Have an ally pick you up with an Argy whilst you are holding one, have them fly up a decent height, and have them let go. You will literally be able to do laps around the map's edges without touching the ground if you know what you're doing! (Some training is required, so that you don't, say, accidentally throw it mid-air.)
