But sadly no taming process so go dododex well i guess chitin is yummy for chicken afterall dead insect skin good for them first i go like weee then suddenly struck me.. To tame this, you have to go to the forests (because that’s where they spawn) or somewhere else where they spawn, when you find one, knock it out with the method you find easiest, they will only eat kibble (simple kibble on all platforms except mobile and switch and pelagornis kibble on mobile and switch) they also eat chitin which is obtained from killing insects so go out and kill some titanorymas (or however you say it) to get some chitin. When it’s tamed, it acts as a portable hand glider and can be carried on the shoulder (I think) they are also carried by many birds, Wyverns, gigantopithecus, kaprosuchus and procoptodon (if it’s a baby). If you want more tips for taming, just go to the tame and KO section and look for a very long comment, btw sorry for it being so long.

What I would do is take a tapejara over to the redwood forest, hang onto the trees, and shoot tranq darts from a crossbow.

The reason why they eat chitin is possibly a reference to the real life archaeopteryx.Since chitin is dropped by insects and bugs,The paleontologists who discovered the archa thought it ate insects, therefore having chitin as kibble to the Archeopteryx

...Ignore the guy who says this is good for finding wyvern eggs. yeh you'll find them and then die instantly and get the little bugger killed. a rather pointless exercise.

Because it counts as a 'small' dinosaur you can pick it up with any bird and have a friend knock it out

Found in the redwood forest biome mostly on The Island, can be seen majority of the time flying from tree to tree. Best tactic to taking is a decent longneck rifle and tranq darts. Shoot them after they have landed on a tree as they rest for a moment before moving again giving perfect window of opportunity. The redwood can be dangerous so bring a means of defense like spiked wall

who needs to tame this when you got lots of resources to make a parachute?

I grabbed an one of these birds and brought it back to base. I show it once with a tranq arrow and I knocked it out. But he tried to swim and he commit die. He has no IQ lol dummy

They can be found on the middle mountain in the red woods and bad enough near the argys.Luckily they can be picked up by mostly any flyer ex:a pteradon.knocking them out is easy just a few darts and to the body and BAMN KNOKED. Then just feed it what Dododex says

These little tree hugging pigeons can apparently teleport on mobile,don’t try killing them and taking their implant,grabbing them with an argy also won’t work,I still haven’t tamed one because of this...

By far, the easiest method (in my experience) for taming one of these little guys is this:

Beforehand, prepare about 50 narcotics, as it doesn't take too long to tame a lvl 150. You'll need either chitin or Pelagornis kibble. I would just use chitin since you only need about 80 or so for a lvl 150. Next, you'll want to have a bola. I would craft at least 3 in case you miss. Once it's tied up, go ahead and tranq it with tranq arrows or darts. You shouldn't need more than 20 tranqs. That's taking into account how often you may miss. But since it's tied up, you'll have far more than you need afterwards. I suggest letting it starve all the way down, and then putting in the chitin. That way your resources arent vulnerable until the last second. Wait a little bit, and you should have a lvl 150 Archa. Enjoy :) (Lower levels follow the same method with less resources, I simply used 150 as the example.)

They can be found in at the Redwood or not the big trees but be very careful they look very small and quite difficult to find what you'll find is that they will drop to the floor to walk around that is when you want to get a bowler and it takes a couple of shots to the face and then it drops what you need to use is Chintin to time it for the correct cable it's quite good fun to use but it can take a very long time for you to drop down much slower than what a parachute would

You can pick them up with an argy and have a tribe mate shoot it or you can drop it in a taming pen

DO NOT GRAB THEM WITH A BIRD They will growl at your bird then jump off to a tree pretty quick

Pick it up in your argent's beak and knock it out. Chitin shouldn't be a problem, they don't eat alot.

Snatch an Archaeopteryx with your Argy, fly high and drop it. It will slowly glide down, which gives you time to shoot several darts at it.

Rember to clear the area of predators first.
