These are in the redwoods on the ground or in the trees. I recommend looking for them on the tree trunks.

They will collect sap on redwoods trees if on wander.

Easiest tip: bola it knock it out five at least five chitin and you have another pet

Use a ramshackle slingshot to knock it out chiten is standard but can tame it quickly. Ps if you can not find an archa look up in the redwood trees.

Bring this into the labyrinth cave on Ragnarok. Makes it way easier.

Press R, or the reload button, on PC to stop the Archaeopteryx glide and press it again to regain it. Knowing this, they can be incredibly ly maneuverable in the air.

I need help I swear these can teleport I don’t know how they get away no matter if my bola hit it it just goes away someone please help me I just want one :(

On PC, you can press R to stop/start gliding while in the air! I noticed people had posted how to do this for console, but bot for PC, so here you go. =]

I’ve found on mobile that when using one, there’s a small glitch were you kinda go upward, otherwise really fun :3

If you're having trouble finding one, get on your bird and go to about halfway up a redwood tree. They like to climb trees and then glide from tree to tree so your chances of finding one in the trees are a lot greater. I found a group of five once in the trees. However, they will glitch when being grabbed from a tree. It might not always be in your birds talons... Anyway, if on the ground, bola it (without scaring it away like a tapejara) and tranq it. It has a low health pool though, so try to watch your arrows.

It can be used to get through a tek cave without any other Tames by gliding through the entire cave

Just look at the redwoods trees and you’ll find a few of these flying face first into them until the end of time. Just snag them with a flyer (yes, they can be carried) and watch for thylas as you bring them to a safer spot. Then just bola, tranq and feed chitin to tame. Do note that they still need chitin once tamed and won’t eat anything else, so don’t starve your your new pet.

If you have these cuties in wander they collect sap from every Joshua (or redwood) tree they visit.

Tame one, throw a transponder on it and put it on wander in the redwoods for easy sap.
