Archaeopteryx are skittish and flee toward nearby trees rather than attacking, so use a bola or fast mount to stop them before tranquilizing them. Watch for hostile Redwood wildlife, and use a spyglass to distinguish them from Microraptors.
I have my base way up in a redwoods tree, i have my smallest tames in dino pens on that platform, and occasionaly i find these majestic little birds in one of my pens and that way i now have the biggest archaeopteryx family u can think of.
