Due to the darkness of caves and some areas being covered with bushes/ferns/grass/etc., these guys camouflage really well. An empty section of the cave could be a trap, guys.

To take this arachnid araneo u must get bug repellent and sneak behind cuz if u sneak infront it will see u and kill u even if u have bug repellent. Found only in caves.

I went into a cave at the artic and it is not worth it I get attacked by onycs I kept falling in the traps I set up like ten beds died every time argie was watching me ps no hard feelings thundie bird

How to easily tame, without using anykind stuff like chilli, or repellent :

Tame first a scorpion (whatever LV), within a cave

Ride the Scorpion, while approaching the spider

As the spider wouldn't notice you, you can feed it easily

While you want the spider :

To go in caves, and to slow down any opponents, or wild creatures that you might want to kill

Disadvantages :

His whole stats are so low (low stamina, low attacks, low weight)

Only the speed is decent, but the stamina makes it slow as hell

Why are these not venomous like it’s a giant spider

These guys aren’t as bad as most people make out. Any decent cave mount can deal with them pretty easily, or a decent shotgun (double barrel or pump) if you don’t have a mount. Just remember to bring stimulants and med brews if you’re on foot

Those who say riding a scorpion does aggro this, its true, only if you tame a scorpion outside the cave

Take caution when in any cave or underground. The Araneo can climb walls and drop from the ceiling without warning. Their torpor inducing bite and slowing webs can put you in a helpless situation. Also keep in mind they tend to stay in groups. If you see one there is likely two or more somewhere nearby. I strong suggest and weapon with a flashlight attachment. A pump shotgun being my prefered caving weapon.

A easy way to tame it is just by getting a flyer and picking it up and put in water because it has to swim out before getting aggravated

Its taking double the amount of spoiled meat then it says it requires.
