This thing when used correctly is a nuisance, Just imagine If a "shotgun" slowed you down while walking back, and those also haver a pretty high attack speed, can be used to farm chitin in your base, the low mobility, also STAM, HP and DMG plus not being that much acessible in the early game where It would really have a chance to shine also hurt It a lot, and do NOT get started on the weight of this thing, and the saddle is not that early, u could already have a raptor or ravager saddled by or a little after. The places where It spawns also don't help ( Abb. Variant spawns in red zone descent spiral and the unknow Iirc ) but on Extinction is where it could get a chance, as It spawns in certain parts of the santuary with relative abundance and you only need to trap it with wood and feed spoiled meat through the walls. When i play exct. I WILL try that , see If my thoughts that i cooked up here stand when on the actual test.

More Araneo Utility Tips
Oh damn!!! Araneos got this huge update where they can climb webs and climb walls and stuff! OUR DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE, ARANEO FANS!!!
After the creatures replaced this many considered it useless now.to re-new this it would be nice if it had a full power climb,like megalania,maybe hav it be able to spin webs to trap creatures no-larger than a carno,to top it all off hav it spin webs around your base that produce silk and when wild dinos try to attack they get caught in the web.

the tlc makes it actually useful now
The weight stat affects what you can tether while the melee stat increases torpor
With its new TLC it can now use the aberrant ziplines like a ravager it can also climb and produce its own silk line that it can only use too
Everyone thinks they're useless. But fill your inner base with about 4 on aggressive. Your enemies will be stuck in a Web. Literally.
They should make the araneos R3 ability to be able to shoot a straight stream of web and act as a grappling hook.
Use this for caving I used this in the Devorer cave and avoided everything my going down on a web avoided mostly everything best tlc ever top over cave mount these days
Even for ASE, the Araneo is an incredibly underrated tame. As for taming, you can tame a max level with rotten flesh, extremely easy and fun. Once tamed, it can slow down enemies with its web attacks and is generally a good defense for you base. Not to mention its extremely cool.
