So this is the best mount for swamp cave if you want to tame one first make bug repelant wear full jellysuit go to hunters cave find one the level you like sneak near it dont get realy near or it will attack you feed it spoild meat use balm if needed then boom you have an araneo any bugs wont attack them so they good at caves and they the best if you go swamp cave just dont tame one outside the cave or ressurected one cause if you tamed them outside bugs will start attacking make it passive if you want to spam cave so even if you get killed it wont attack and it will be safe up this if helpfull i am playing on mobile my ign are external'mochops and dora i am sharing tips for taming and i also share some funny storys

If you tame this creature outside a cave(especially revival tame etc.)Creatures on every cave will still argo you, if you want to be ignored and be vulnerable(unless u don't attack any of them) against cave creatures/caves, tame a araneo/arthroupleura inside a cave, once you've tamed it, no cave creatures will attack you(unless you won't attack them). idk if this work on pc, but works on mobile for me.:v
After the TLC update it became a simple knockout tame. It hardly takes any tranqs and can be fed with spoiled meat or superior kibble like before
Use EXCEPTIONAL KIBBLE somebody here said use superior you will not get best lvls this is for ASA
The taming for the tlc update has changed , now it's a knock out tame that eats superior kibble and can be bolad
As of the tlc the araneo takes superior kibble and is a knockout tame
To tame these you will need bug repellent, as they aggro on you otherwise. Then, approach them carefully, making sure that you donβt get too close, or the will attack you. Feed spoiled meat for maximum taming speed. It is best if you find one that is alone. Thanks for reading
To people saying knock it out. Its a passive tame. Dont waste your time
Make 1 foundation and put 8 walls on it making a 2 high box without a lid, drop the spider into this funnel like trap, when you see it's legs show through the trap from the outside look at them directly and you can feed it, you do not need bug repellent for this
Itβs not a passive tame after the TLC launched
To tame you need bug repellent and sneak up to it and shove rotten meat up it's butthole, same with arthropleura.
