My God they only spawn in caves, but you cannot use bola on them. Just kill them for meat, though be careful as they normally spawn meet a brood

If your movement speed is 135% you will be able to out run them when the shoot there web at you

It's hard to tame when your in a Cave and you also get stuck in a web and it's hard to get out

Swamp Cave is great when taming one of these guys, no Ghillie is required just bug repellent. Make sure you clear the area first because swamp cave is a bit difficult and bring extra sets of scuba tanks. Creatures can get up to level 200-400 so be prepared and watch out for arthropluras

Right, so I tried to tranq one like a idiot. It doesn't matter but dododex is way off with the tranq number. For 116 on 5x it said two. I hit it with about 15 and it was standing still.

So basically it does everything a dilo can do but you can ride it.

Easiest way to tame a few at once, is to build a 4 foundation pen with walls a door frame (so you can cryo it and re use the trap afterwards) drop the araneo in with a flyer and then feed through the wall where it’s leg sticks out, it won’t agro on you this way.

Normally I like spiders... But this abomination is just horrifying! Look at that gaping endless throat, and those seven tiny soulless eyes, look at those long spiked creeping legs! These monsters are horrible and the fuel of my greatest nightmares!!! Ugh! What they really need is a TLC here's what I think they would be better as. Firstly they need a total appearance overhaul, they should have larger black eyes and eight of them like real spiders, they should also have longer slightly more upright legs and two large forward facing bulbs ending with spikes where the mouth is now. Next they need a few changes in abilities, they would be able to shoot a string of web as a grappling hook and also shoot a few in quick succession to make a web they can suspend from and ambush out of. also a less effective version of wall climbing where they can climb onto any surface wider than their legspan but if they reach a ceiling they'll only be able to stay for a few seconds before falling.🕷️💀

This guys are great at halping you tame things with their wabs . PLS ^

They should make an update so that these guys can climb things and use it Webb’s for pulling things closer to it and use the web for climbing by aiming shooting and then climb

They are found in caves... and they drop like 100000000 chitin so kill them..... w/ a wolf/ ur mount

Go to the cave in the south they are found there and it’s the easiest cave on the island

These are the only creature that spawns above 150 and is still tameable (only on crystal isles). Still pretty useless but having a 400+ tame is a pretty big flex imo

I think they should have a poison attack and do that thing were they shoot webs but be able to retract it like a grapple pulling it or whatever is on the over end and like most of you I think they should be able to climb walls and spin webs to trap dinosaurs and insects cause that’s what normal spiders do, A.R.K has made a practically useless spider tame so up if u think this should come to the attention of the game designer himself and down if I sound crazy

Alright you have got to make sure you don’t get bit. They have tranq poison but it’s not too strong. Just be careful. For more advanced players, shocking tranq, only need a couple, then spoiled meat. Requires no narcotics. Kill other spiders while waiting to tame and get 100 chitin and have about 200 fiber and 100 wood. Then saddle. If you have like hide armour a club will word.
